i'm 20, weight 170 and am about 5'3. From every one else's experiences will this work? I want to get back down to about 150 by mid summer. I haven't worked out in about two years but in the past week I joined the Y. Now I eat no more than 2200 callories a day as to where I had been eating about...4000 or more daily. And I go to the Y and do 20 minutes fast walking on a treadmill up hill, 8 minutes on an eliptical, 15 on a bike, and some times play racquetball for a bit as well. At least 3 days a week if not more. Should I expect to lose inches and weight? I would really like to lose my love handles, hips, thighs, and breast, maybe arms. Just curious what everyone thought, I know you can't spot reduce but I want to hear other peoples opinions
I think you've posted a very similar thread already. If you're overweight, as you lose weight you'll find your body shape changes where and when it likes. You can't spot-reduce particular areas but, if you exercise, you can tone up the muscles underneath the fat.

I'm going to the gym everyday to do cardio and I do spot exercises every other day. I would ask for help at your gym to get the target areas the way you desire. I'm not trying to get big muscles now, just toning at this time and then I build more muscles when I'm within 15 lbs of my goal weight. I have more to lose than you. I'm also being careful what I eat too. Keeping high fat foods to a minimum.
