I dont know it this is the best place to post this but hey.

has anyone lost alot of weight and noticed stretch marks from losing too fast? I havent...but I've heard people saying you can get stretch marks from that.

how do stretch marks you already have look after you loss weight? I have a few on my sides and on the inside of my thighs, and i was wondering what they would look like when I lose more weight.

any insite would be helpful.

...like stretchmarks :)
I don't know about losing to fast giving you strech marks, doesnt make any sense to me, BUT I have strech marks on my sides and upper inner thighs and they are barley noticable. They turned white and are so much better then they where before(I was 138 before now 112). I dont think you can get rid of them tho =( being tan helps tho!!
so when you lose weight your stretch marks got smaller and lighter? if so thats good. I know that they say you cant get rid of them...but I dont buy that. I know one day I'm going to try microdermabrasion on my stretch marks to try and see how much more "invisible" I can get them, all that is is extensive exfoliation hopefully that can get rid of the color because the ones on my side are dark and the ones of my thighs are lighter, but i have some really big deep ones and I wonder what will become of those, like if you push them it feels empty inside
Yep, I had them BAD on my sides =( =( like really really dark redish and thick and everything. THey shrank down and got really reall light, now I keep my self tan cause it really helps =)=)=)
You cannot get them from LOSING weight...they are a result of the skin STRETCHING...thus in the gaining stage.

Perhaps you may have just now noticed them in certain areas? I had a spot that I recently discovered a couple in...not pleasing!

The good news is that yes, in time stretch marks generally lighten over time. Of course they will NOT just disappear without surgical removal. But they will likely become small enough, you won't even give it a second thought!

I could be wrong, but I am pretty certain that you CAN get them from weight loss.  My sister lost over 70 points not too long ago (in a shorter span of time than is usual or healthy really), and as a result, she got a lot of stretch marks on places such as her stomach and arms...places she had not had the marks prior.
Yes, you can get them from losing too quickly.  Your skin is elastic, and if you have it stretched out for a prolonged period of time, and then suddenly losen it, stretch marks can appear.  Some people are more prone to them than others.  I have a ton from when I lost weight in college when I started eating less and walking more.
I developed stretch marks from two pregancies. I was very overweight before I got pregnant the first time - I imagine that did play into it. I lost all the pregnancy weight plus a lot more before my second pregnancy, and then lost that weight plus more... getting back down to my weight at 20 years old, which I've stayed around ever since.

My experience is that this is wholly genetic: you either have good skin, or you don't. I'm fair skinned, blue-eyed, and burn easily. My youngest is now 13 years old and my stretch marks are still quite noticeable, and still red. They never faded or turned white - despite ample moisturizing and trying everything under the sun. I don't know if tanning makes them less noticeable, because I never expose my stomach to the sun, since the stretch marks are so ugly and noticeable. (They run up just slightly past my belly button).

Sigh, I did not get the luck of the genetic draw.
I think I have bad skin, Ive always had skin issues, acne, ezcema and now I think my breast are going to sag after I'm done losing weight based on how they look now and i"m only 20. I just have horrible skin genes

I just started getting them all over my lower abdomen and legs from losing weight too quickly. Glad I'm not the only one!

I'd worry more about the sagging skin you get from losing weight than any stretch marks.

Skinnygirl87 - if your breasts are left sagging, try a good bra. I'm 24 and mine sag, but I wear the Dream Tisha Seamless full-fit bra and I'm not lying, they're so perky that people have asked me when I got my breasts done.

Rubbing a generous amount of cocoa butter and allowing it to soak in reduces stretch marks significantly.

Vaseline makes a wonder cocoa butter, very effective.

Cocoa butter or Shea butter will do the trick. Palmer's has a specific lotion just for stretch marks.

I  got up to 215lbs when I was 17 years old due to meds+depo shot. Once I got off of those at 18 I lost 100lbs over a period of almost 2 years. I have silvery white shiny scars  from stretch marks when I was fat. They have not gone away. I'm am almost 25 years old. I heard you can get them removed but I don't have the money. When I do I am getting them removed. You might also notice loose skin. Try rubbing cocoa butter or lotion for pregnant women every day. Even if it doesn't work at least your skin is healthy.

I didn't get them from losing weight and I think I lost pretty fast once I started losing. But everyone is different. I also hear the more pale you are the more prone you are to stretch marks. I'm pale and did not get any stretch marks from losing.

I have strech marks from gaining weight. They have lightened up a lot, but I used vitamin e capsules and punctured them and rubbed the contents on my sides. Now I embrace my strech marks...they are a marker for where I have been and where I am going. Good luck to you!

Get some viatmin E gel capules from anywhere, bust them open with a pin and squeeze the stuff onto the stretch marks.

I gained 50 lbs in two years and had some bad ones on my tummy, they're almost gone now just through doing this

You actually CAN obtain stretch marks from losing weight. Any change in your size changes the elasticity in your skin causing stretch marks. Stretching and light exercise can minimize the effects also drink loads of water, which you should do anyway!! : )

they look like hell since you are making them move

they end up turning gray because they are scars and don't go away but they do fade

think of them as your battle scars (battle with weight)
