Too much sugar?

Quote  |  Reply

I don't understand how sugar works on the analysis page. Every day, without fail, I consume 200% - 400% of the sugar intake. However, upon breaking down the chart, 90% of my sugar is always from fresh fruits and vegetables. The recommended daily intake is 30g.

What are some ways that you guys have kept below that limit?

Or, is it OK that it's like that?

30 g of sugar is an absurdly low amt., if you ask me.

If the majority of your sugar comes from fruit and vegetables you have nothing to worry about.

Agreed. The sugar calculator makes me mad too. I should get a green when my "added sugars" is less than 30 g. Because I too eat a ton of fruit.

Its also important to note that fruit sugars (fructose) are not the same as table sugar (glucose). They have to be converted to glucose to be used by your body so your body does more work to use them. They also don't have the blood sugar effect on non-diabetics that glucose has. I am not sure about diabetics, I hear conflicting reports on whether they should eat fruit or not and since I'm not diabetic, I frankly don't care either way.

i wouldn't worry about fruit and veg anything that's natural don't count and if you are diabetic the fiber in fruit make them ok to eat if there wasn't any fiber then body would send blood sugars upward fast then plummet down faster

i keep my added unnatural sugar to 0-18 g a day as i dont add natural food as sugar in custom add food diary its stuff like ice cream and biscuits and cakes so on

milk sugars are fine as well as it natural [lactose]

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
