Im 5.11 and really struggling to lose the last pounds!!

I eat healthy and excercise all week, but let myself down at the weekends, it is a vicious cycle and would love some support to get out of it!!

Are there any people in the same situation?Frown

yes, i have been struggling for ages to lose about 8 pounds (10 would be even better), mostly because my will power at this point is quite low, as everyone says i look fine the way i am (i am larger than i look in my profile photo, that was at about 8 pounds less)... but i long to lose that last little bit so my pants will fit me again!! :) ... i am 5 foot 10...

Thanks for replying! We are in the same situation, people think they are being nice by saying I look fine and don't need to lose anymore, this makes me belive them and eat more, then curse them when I still can't fit into my size 12s (UK)! what size do you want to be?

Frustrating!

I am currently about 154lbs, it fluctuates depending on the weekend, but I love my food so don't think it is wrong to have the odd treat,

do you excercise?

Blah, i've been having problems with these tricky last few pounds too!
I was only 1 pound away from my goal weight and then i slipped into this anxiety-ridden state where food was my only comfort.
So, as a result, I've gained 7.5 pounds this week and i now have 8 pounds to lose!
It is hard losing those 'last few pounds'.
I've been dieting for the past 9 months so my motivation has pretty much been burnt up.
And everyone says I'm skinny now, so that kills any desire to keep on sweating on a treadmill or calorie restricting!

I'm really trying to stay on the diet band wagon though, after falling off for the past week.
I just hope i don't freak out again tomorrow!

Any suggestions for motivation? I am staying away from scales for a bit and going on whether the jeans fit!Smile

Hmm i'm not sure.
I find that i just have to wait until the binging dies out and then i find it much easier to say "no" to minor urges and to get back to healthier habits.

Yes! Those last few ones are SO hard! And people always do the "Oh, you don't need to lose weight!" which I feel like an overly-self-conscious, insecure bitch when I try to argue.  So then I start to agree, and then I just eat a ton! And then realize that I hate my jiggly stomach and love handles, and my thighs are COVERED in stretch marks now, and I just want to have the self control to lose about 10 more pounds!

same boat.
and this: "And people always do the "Oh, you don't need to lose weight!" which I feel like an overly-self-conscious, insecure bitch when I try to argue. "
is precisely why i feel like i can't talk to anyone about it.

im glad i am not alone!! it is doubly hard as they are hard to lose as weight doesnt 'fall off' when there is less to lose and people dont support you anymore and just make you feel bad for trying.

how many calories does anyone suggest when trying to get through the last stage?

Hey check out our new tall girl club started today, we will help motivate you!!

Restless, you sound so much like me! I was 3 lbs away from my goal, but over the past couple weeks I've gained 6 lbs and have 9 to go now. I also know what you mean about everyone saying you're already skinny. A few days ago I saw a friend I haven't seen in over a year and she kept complimenting me on how good I look and how jealous she is, but I couldn't even enjoy it because I'm disappointed in myself for falling off the wagon and gaining weight. It's so discouraging and hard not to lost motivation.

I am 5.7 46 yearold lady

weight is 133

when i started on here in jan i  was 131 been watching what i eat working out all that stuff

and now i weigh 133.8

all i wantt o do is get back down to 125 pounds

but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

have to put it on

i eat 1500 to 1600 cals a day\

i started with just eating 1300 did not lose any so month ago i upt it

and still nothing

darn it

good luck everyone

I'm a 5'9" girl, 21 and weighing 148 pounds... well I'm naturally curvy but i used to be much slimmer, i weighed 130 last year and can barely fit into my summer clothes! it's pretty much a disaster, I want to have good self confidence this summer but it's pretty much a big depressing vicious circle...

According to the calorie burn calculator, I need to consume 1300 a day to lose weight steadily over the next few months to my goal weight. Unfortunately, I have a problem with recording the food on this website: I SERIOUSLY think that my portions are wrong, I mean I have no clue how many grams a carrot or a Caesar salad is, and I'm seriously not going to go and put them on a scale. So how do you figure out the weight of your food? and the serving sizes?

Can someone give me a good comparison of what an OUNCE is. im not american. well I am but I don't live there and I certainly only use metric measurements.

And a cup, is a cooking cup yes? For baking and such. Also what is the size of a 'serving' that is mentioned in the famous food pyramid...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

:)

I am a recovering anoretic, and am not commenting to in any way judge you.  I hope you loose the weight in a healthy way, and that you do not continue to loose weight after you meet your weight goals that is all i have to say about that.

But objectively speaking, I would say, that the necessary thing to do at this point in your weight loss process, would be to exercise every day healthily.

I would recommend jogging or walking or biking daily,

as well as some other cardio exercises.  Perhaps some crunches as well or even better, research the best types of exercise to do, focusing on the types of activities which will help tone your body to the shape you desire.

However i must impress on the importance of healthy activity, please remember that you are a beautiful being and don't push yourself too far, 5-7 pounds isn't a whole lot of weight to worry about, and you will soon reach that goal, ask yourself if you will truly be happy, and if you cannot answer that question for sure, then maybe the changes which you desire to make, are not external.

Much love and good luck

Deanna

heres something that might help, I thought this website offered this option but maybe not, visit www.sparklepoeple.com

this site has a log from all the members of different foods probably even a caeser sald, which will tell you the calorie content of the foods, or will help you to figure it out.

Hope this helps!

3 DIY Tortilla Tricks
I love Mexican food—tacos with crispy shells, crunchy taco bowls and salty tortilla chips. But I could do without the extra calories, fat and sodium in the salty, often deep-fried tortillas served at many restaurants or the less-than-healthy packaged versions of these foods sold in the supermarket.
