Target burn to lose (I forgot how CC works)

Quote  |  Reply

CC community, lend me your ears!

The lbs are back, and so am I! I have 10-15 lbs to lose for my first goal weight (again, errr). I would like to be under 150 by October. Not for anything special, but because I know I'll feel less sluggish this fall and enjoy the festivities :)

So, my average calorie intake for the past 18 days has been 1,760. I have been lifting weights for 1.5-2 hours a week (Heavy weights; about 35minutes total each workout). I'm sedentary otherwise: I do nothing else but sit on my arse most of the day.

I'm 5'8", 31, F.

Knowing these stats, what do you think my deficit is on an average day or week? I realize CC has a calculator, but I love feedback. I want to know how much more I need to step up my workouts to see my body go back to normal. I suck at endurance nowadays, too, fyi.

My guess would be that you run between a 400-500 deficit each day on average.

That sounds about right; I'm down about 2 lbs for 2.5 weeks. I think I need to step up and take more steps! Literally!

It sounds like you need more cardio. I started running and lost 4.6lbs the first week!

You're right. running worked for me too when I first lost 30#, but I was still "flabby". I'm hoping that lifting and walking is all I need for now. I feel too heavy to run now. It hurts and I have no endurance. My plan is to get back into running once my weight goes down...I miss 5ks!
