Trainer 3 times a week..when will i see results?

Ive been going to the gym 3-5 times a week. (I have signed up with a trainer for 3 times a week weight training and cardio)

 

When can i expect SOME results? Ive been there a month and havent seen anything at all, even though i get really tough workouts and watch my caloric intake..

I would expect to see results within the first few workouts, like having more endurance, being stronger, more balance, weight loss or more flexibility. It all depends on your goals. If your goal is weight loss, that's all diet and not your trainer. You should speak to your trainer and ask what his or her goals are for you and a reasonable time line to achieve them. 

Weight loss is a combination of excersize and diet..

I have been working out with a trainer 2 times a week for just over 3 months. I also work out on my own 2 times a week and I have lost 15 pounds. Keep in mind that I am counting calories as well and making healthy choices with my food.

What I like most about my trainer is that he keeps me motivated, our workouts are always challenging and something new so I don't get bored, and I feel awesome afterwards. I noticed big changes after the first month. Best of luck!

I've been working out with my personal trainer for 8 weeks (once a week with her, once a week cardio+weights on my own and three times a week cardio, if I can I also sneak in a pilates class). I've been eating a bit more since I'm working out as I  noticed that on less calories I just couldn't do my workouts properly.

One thing that definitely helps for me, is that my workouts are quite different, my 3 times a week cardio is the same (although we change the levels and machines around every 6 weeks), but whenever I see my PT we always do something completely different and exercises that are a lot harder than what I do when I'm doing weights alone. I think it's important to keep doing a mix of different things and to change levels often enough to keep shocking your muscles and challenging your body.

I haven't lost much weight, BUT I have noticed that I'm a lot more toned (I'm not bothered by my weight, I'm more working out to even out my body and tone up, so I'm not such an extreme pear shape anymore). Don't forget, you might go down in size and remain the same weight as muscle weighs more than fat.

It also depends on what you eat at what time of the day and how many meals you have. I have been advised to rather have most of my carbs during the day, and try to have lighter dinner (like a balanced salad, or some fish and veggies). I eat 5 meals a day, 3 main meals (around 300-400 cals each) and 2 snacks (like almonds and fruit) to make sure my metabolism keeps running properly.

caitlin is he pushing you 'til you can't do anything else?  I mean, do you feel like you've worked really really hard afterward and are sore?  Is he changing things up for you every week or so? 

Yes, oh my gosh. Trust me, i get a good workout.
