How do you treat yourself when you meet a weight loss goal?
I'm sure there has been something like this before, but here it goes anyway. How have you treated yourself and how are you planning on treating yourself for goals you have set? Or is the satifaction of loosing weight enough on it's own?
I know for many people loosing weight meansthat you are able to do more things, so how are you going to make the most of that?
For me I have decided that at about 73-75kg when I reach 68-69kg I am planning on buying a pair of hunter wellies, a bit of an extravigance I know but as a rower wellies are something I will use quite a lot and my current old wellies seem to have started falling apart a little. The only reason I haven't already bought a pair of hunters has been because my calves are slightly too chubby so I find they are little too tight!!
I really like that idea!! I think i'm going to do that for myself! xoxox
Thx!!! I'm really wanting to do the bracelet Idea now :) .. I had my eye on a key and heart diamond and silver necklace from people's but i'm really liking the charm idea. More personal and I get to add to it! hehe. How are you doing on your journey? I hope all is well?
I really like the bracelet idea. Many times the reward thing doesn't help me. I buy what I want if I can afford it and I don't like to deprive myself. So if I say I'll get a new purse when I lose 25 lbs, either I won't really wait because I want it so badly or I won't buy it when I can because I don't want to spend the money. A charm for each milestone is a different type of reward. Smart!
Nail polish- dual purpose, because you can't boredom eat or emotional eat with wet nails :)
Also other types of makeup, workout clothes, a massage, etc. are all good ideas!
I don't need to treat myself - the image of the new number on the scales is already rewarding enough ![]()
I like the idea of getting a massage or a facial. When I feel good about my weight, I'll feel even better after being pampered!
I plan to get another piercing in my ear at 190lbs (40lbs off) and possibly a tattoo when I reach my goal weight. They're just things I've always wanted done so will be a really big treat for me. The tattoo I'm planning will also be a reminder to help me stop ever gaining the weight back again.
Clothes are always my go-to! I have a real thing for fashion and creating interesting clothing and colour combinations. I spend all of my extra money on clothes. There really is nothing else I like to buy (besides books, which I buy cheap at discounted rates). Ever since I lost 40 pounds, I've managed to stay between 145-160 pounds, but I want to shake off that extra 10-15 pounds so my clothes fit better and I can buy new ones for the summer! I also want to be able to look good in my red 40's-inspired bikini for the beach!
When I did this previously, I started over 150 with a goal of 125. When I finally got there, I had my belly button pierced as a reward for myself! I found that not only did it look cute with a 2-piece (and my newfound confidence), it kept me attentive to my stomach-area and I continued to keep up the fitness. Since that time (its been about... 4 years) I have stayed between 120-135 (I'm 5'5''). I'm around 130 now, looking to get back to 120-125. I keep trying to think of another good reward for myself... looking back, the confidence and just feeling so fit and healthy was the biggest reward of anything! I can't wait to have that back! :D
(I'm already starting to feel the fitness - sooo much energy!!!)
I've just thought of what I'll treat myself to this time!!! Getting my Zumba certification! :D
I held out for a much needed new car for the 100 lost mark. At my goal weight (20-30lbs from now) I'm going out and spending whatever it costs on a tailored suit that makes me look amazing, costs be damned!
