Under Arm/Side Chest Fat?

Quote  |  Reply

Hi all!

I've recently lost over twenty pounds (trainer + nutrition coach), and I've just noticed something really irritating: whenever I wear a bra, there's a small bunch of fat on either side of my chest that sticks out. I've tried different bra sizes and shapes, but nothing seems to change this.

Has anyone experienced this problem after weight loss? Is there anything that can be done? My trainer says to wait it out a mont or so, but I'm not loving the way I look in tank tops right now!

Thanks! :-)

This bugs me too. There are two ways to tackle it

1. You will probably have to try a whole lot more bras to find the right one to help. I have learnt what to look for in a bra - but I also have to literally try on a whole bra shop to maybe find one that is OK for me in this regard. Make sure your cup size is big enough (if the wires are too small, spillage will occur. Also, try and get bras with a deep back and side band. This helps hold this area better. Related to this is to make sure the cup wires come around to completely cup your breast on the sides. If they stop too low, again, spillage. AND don't have the band size too small/tight. I keep mine not loose, but at least not as tight as I probably should. It leads to a better aesthetic effect.

2. Lose some more body fat and get some back muscle (particularly lats). I have done both lately and have noticed an out-of sight improvement in this area. Also, if you have only recently lost weight, the skin will be loose and more prone to blub about. It will tighten over time. Your trainer is correct there.
