Upper Body Shrinking.Lower body big

Quote  |  Reply

Hey!

So i'm recenlty at 109 lbs lost but I'm finding it's the most noticeable in the upper half of my body... such as my face, neck arms ,chest and top tummy... but I still have massive thighs and a big butt. I look at photos and I know the weight has come off on the lower half as well but the upper half of my body seems to be shrinking slowly.... Am I imagining this or is it true that we lose weight evenly ??

You're probably a pear shape like me. My upper body is and has always been relatively small. My hips and thighs is where I carry most of my weight. That area is usually the last place my weigh loss shows unfortunately...

My sister and I joke that when we lose weight we are like toothpaste tubes - someone is squeezing us from the top down. :P It's just genetics and you have to learn to love it.

When you eat fatty things it goes to your butt and thighs??
I'm also a pear. I find weight lifting helps the illusion, shoulder and chest presses have increased the muscle definition in my shoulders making them look wider and my hips smaller in comparison. I've heard that swimming front crawl is good for that too but I haven't tried it
