I have been eating 1200-1500 cals a day For 2 weeks. I had a kidney infection, so I could only do intensity for the last week. I work out 5 days cardio and calisthenics, 1 day only calisthenics and 1 rest day 5 11 tall I seriously have put on 8 pounds in 2 weeks. But that's 28000 calories extra every week, and I do not eat like 400 big macs lol. I know water weight, but I only ever put on so much. And this is not the first time. I put on 2 pounds, takes a month to lose again. Does this sound like a hormone issue?

Sorry about the messy paragraphs btw iPhone!!!!!!
What are your stats? Lots of things could affect weight, stress, not sleeping, water (my weight has gone up 5 lbs from a hard workout), sodium etc
Ok I know this sounds bad I model, so I am lower than should be I am 132 right now 5 11 Started at 124 Wanted to tone up so I can look amazing B/c that is what's required However, I want to be healthy Not lose 20 pounds, and not gain!!!!

well you are already underweight love, technically, but it is your body and you can do what you want with it.  I don't know if you are having a hormone issue, but I can gain up to 8 lbs right before my stupid period.  do you have periods?

if that's not it you could try cycling you cals (up day down day) or you could try upping intensity of your cardio sessions.

I'm confused. Are you supposed to be gaining weight or losing it?

But I can tell you that that amount of food is too low for your height and exercise level. It is too little food even to lose weight in a healthy manner, let alone gain weight.

Is it your life's purpose to enter Miss World or something? 'cos I don't think looking amazing is required in all walks of life.

Edited to add: Gosh, I'm an idiot and didn't read your post properly. You model.

If you are modeling and the job requirements upset you so much, I suggest a change of career path, if possible. Or different kinds of modelling. I would urge many people who have health-damaging professions. Models, asbestos cleaners, matadors...

Joking aside, is it possible?

Thanks for the responses I was making good progress before and I just ballooned up ( lol no one can tell though!) I have not been getting periods, but I know I can gain a lot with sodium, but never this much.
And in response, it is hard, but I love it too much to give it up!

Not a lot of people will support this because of how small you already are. I will give some advice but I dont recommend it and dont think it is healthy. The thing is when you workout you need to eat more to fuel your body, so either you need to eat more, have some weight gain and then it should level and start dropping again, or you need to stop working out (except maybe a few weight days) and eat less, limit the carbs and stick to protein and veg. If you do this tho it is meant as something short term it wont be sustainable and it is not something I would view as healthy. Good luck

Thanks for the advice! I will try it. I'm not one to eat less, I love to exercise, so I will go with the first option. Is 1700 a better option?

First of all, you had a kidney infection, so OF COURSE you are retaining water.  The entire function of the kidneys is this: "Every day, a person's kidneys process about 200 quarts of blood to sift out about 2 quarts of waste products and extra water."

So it is entirely unreasonable for you to expect anything BUT water weight retention until your kidney's are 100% recovered.

As others have said, you are underweight right now and not taking in near enough calories for someone that is working out at the level you are.  You said that you want to "Tone up."  Toning is not a matter of losing more weight...it is building muscle that gives us that "toned" look.  You cannot build muscle on a calorie deficit that high.

Use on of the calculators on here (or a more accurate one on another site which I hope someone else will provide a link to) to find out how much you are actually burning in calories each day. You are an active individual if you are doing 5 days of cardio and calisthenics a week.  Find out what you are burning and start eating MAINTENANCE calories at the minimum.  I have a feeling that at your height and activity level, that will be far greater than 1700 calories.

You have lost enough weight, now you need to focus on toning those muscles, and muscles need fuel to build.  Make sure you are getting the sufficient amount of protein, nutrients and vitamins.  And PLEASE tell me you are drinking enough water, especially with your history of kidney problems.

Follow your doctor's advice on that matter to the letter, and please be careful.

I completely understand your point. I will eat more/ exercise and wait to see if it drops. I did look it up, and my weight/height is 1600 for minimum, 1400 bmr. I am drinking 10 cups of water/day, and eating lots of vitamin rich greens and fruits to help my body recover, and stay well, per doctors orders!

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
