How much do you usually lose in a month?

Hi folks.  Just curious, but how much do you usually lose per month?  What is the most you have lost in a month?

I'm asking because I spent some time today looking over my weight loss trends, and I am suprised by how much they vary each month, even though I have followed the same plan and have aimed for 1.5-2 lbs. per week.  My monthly weight loss totals vary from 4 lbs., 6 lbs.,12 lbs., 15 lbs. to 18 lbs (I know this one is a little extreme, but it was my first month and I think at least 6 lbs was water weight)!  Just curious about others.  Although most people say they slow down after a few months, I have definitely sped up these past few months with an average of 12 lbs (after one month with a savage plateau).

My stats: Started in January at 225, down to 177 as of today.  Only 2 lbs from my 50 lb mark!

wow anniemarie! thats quite a lot of weight to loose! what's your work out sheduel? Keep on going that's amazing! I normally end up loosing around 8-10 pounds a month. Although i'm quite jealous of your 12-18! amazing!
Wow that is amazing!  I don't have any stats like that yet, but I just started this week, I did lose 6 lbs this week though!  Would you mind sharing your workout routine, calories/day ect?  I am interested because I weigh 211 so am in the same boat that you were, in terms of weight loss.  You are truly an insperation!  I am so happy for you!  
Wow thanks for the compliments guys!  As far as my routine, I usually eat 1200-1400 cals (net), do cardio 5 days a week for 30-45 min, 2 days of strength training and 2 days of yoga.  Some weeks I don't actually exercise that much, and I have definitely fell off the wagon a few times, but I try to stick to that routine as much as possible.
Wow, those are some crazy losses!  I'm only 2 weeks into CC. So far I've lost 10 lb. I' not exercising, or starving myself. I'm just CC. I burn at or a little under 3K cal. a  day and I'm eat appx. 1600. I try not eat up to 1600 but, not over. When I have a 300 cal. extra it's pretty tempting to go ahead and splurge on candy.  My goal after this month (since the first month is the quickest loss) is  about 8 lb. a month.  My long term plan is being able to run a 5 K and July. so I'll be picking up more exercise to keep from stopping or hitting a long plateau. urgh! I dread the day I know will come soon enough.  Well. at least that's my plan.
About... 3 pounds. *tear* I don't have too much to lose and I'm short, so it's taking FOREVER.
I'm just about up to the end of my second month... and I'm right on target to have lost 20 pounds. I lost ten pounds in the first two WEEKS but after that it slowed down to a regular healthy rate of 2.something pounds a week...
I'm jealous... I haven't lost a pound in over 4 months (not for lack of trying though).
Between 3 and 5 pounds when I'm "behaving".  But I've had "bad" months when I didn't work out or eat right, and gained a pound or two instead of losing it.  I've been unusually good about working out and eating right the past two months, and I think this month would be 6 or 7 pounds, if not for Christmas.
When I started in January and weighed about 235, I lost a good 7-9 lbs a week for my first 80 lbs.

November was really slow - I only lost 2 or 3 lbs. I'm pretty sure that's a combination of the extra holiday splurging and the fact that I'm within 10 lbs. of my goal weight.
When I lost a lot of weight a couple years ago, I lost about 10-15 pounds a month. I ended up losing 85 (only to gain it all back.) It's proven that the bigger you are and the more overweight you are, the quicker you can lose it. If you are 130 trying to get to 120, this might take a couple months. But when you are 310 trying to get to 300, this might take a week or two. So it all depends.
