Waist Size?

Quote  |  Reply
Hi!

I know I read this somewhere, but can't find the thread again. I am curious what waist sizes people are at at what height and weight. I am almost at my goal weight, but have never measured my waist before. How is the best way to measure my waist?

Just curious, if anyone wants to post!

Thanks

Your BMI is a very low but healthy 19, and you are aiming at an underweight not healthy BMI 18?

Why??

I think it is ridiculous for a woman to measure her waist at the smallest part if that happens to be 6" over her bellybutton....it's not like that's where you'd wear a pair of jeans.

I'm a 48 year old guy that weighs 313 lbs. I'm 58" at the navel while standing and I'm 6' 1" tall. I'm not actively trying to lose or doing anything about my obesity, but I'd like to weigh 180 lbs again. I like women that are 100-200 lbs overweight, so I'm OK with being 133 lbs overweight.

well there is a weght gain forum....

I'd love to lose my blubbery beer belly, but without any work and situps and stuff, therefore I'm happy with 250 lb women or even 300 lbs.

I can see this is more of a weight loss site and you like 130 lbs and fit, I prefer women to be 100 lbs overweight and comfortable with that much blubber on the ole waistline !

Maybe I'm at the wrong site ?

This isn't a dating site.

The weight gain forum is for people who are trying to gain weight, whether because they are currently underweight and need to gain fat for health, or are trying to gain muscle.  The weight loss forum is for people who want to lose fat.

Calorie Count's mission is to promote healthy and sustainable weight management (whether the current goal is to lose, gain, or maintain).  If you are obese (and I'm talking about actually obese, as opposed to a body builder for whom BMI is not appropriate), that is not healthy.  If you don't want to change that, then again I wonder why you are on this site.  If your goal is to find obese women to date, I'm sure there are sites that will help you do it, but Calorie Count is not one of them.

I strongly urge you to think about your health. Being obese can cause many health problems (if you aren't already experiencing them).  Weight loss doesn't happen without some effort, but it also isn't as hard as some people believe it to be -- it doesn't require (nor should it include) starving yourself or situps.

Waist: 24.5 inches

I don't know what body shape I am, I think I'm a pear when I gain weight it all goes on my bum, hips and thinghs.

Dang!!!! You all make me want to ralph, literally! I am 33, 5'7, 185 <-- seriously overweight, looking at the averages here! I'm not even going to TRY measuring my waist, it's gotta be like 50!!! :'(

Male

16yrs

172

34inch waist

Female, 27 years old, 5'8", 190 lbs

31.5" waist

I have a pear-shaped body with a (relatively) small waist but very wide hips and thighs

Female, 22 5'4'', 135 lbs and 27 inch waist.

bkipling, I've been thick waisted all my life and I'm 58 now, but I've been slim in the hips so I guess I'm basically without shape. Small butt though : )

Oops forgot the rest; 58yrs old, 138, 5'3" and 30" waist.  Trust me, you start getting thicker in the midsection after 50.  Must be one of those life changes things.

I was down to 130 last year, but started eating anything I wanted and gained some of it back, so back to Jazzercise and back to this website.

Age ... 17 weight ... 128lbs height ... 5'4 waist ... 27"

I just measured my waist the other day to figure out with shaped figure I had (turns out I'm "spoon shaped," funny enough). Here's my measurements

5'4''

170 (goal of 145)

38'' waist

23 years old

13 y/o 145 5'10 Waist 32

3 DIY Tortilla Tricks
I love Mexican food—tacos with crispy shells, crunchy taco bowls and salty tortilla chips. But I could do without the extra calories, fat and sodium in the salty, often deep-fried tortillas served at many restaurants or the less-than-healthy packaged versions of these foods sold in the supermarket.
