Weigh in "rules"
Just curious what kind of rules you all have for weighing in.
Some of mine are a bit ridiculous, but they are mainly for my own good.
I only count my weight if it is in the morning before I eat and after using the rest room.
I don't weigh myself when I am PMS or after a night of drinking (bloating).
I cannot weigh myself more than twice a week.
NO EXCUSES.
There is always an explanation for my weight, no matter how surprising/ unpleasant.
It is not the scale's fault.
No changing the weight on the scale as I leave so that the next person weighing themselves doesn't see my weight, because that is just lying to myself. Lying doesn't make me skinnier.
Weigh myself every morning, after rest room in the buff. But "my weight" is the average of the last seven days.
I weigh myself every day first thing in t shirt and shorts.
I log the weight no matter how disappointing it might be. (I've watched my trend increase lately and this has re-focused my determination.)
My 'weight' is the CC trend weight.
- Weigh in once a week, day before my "cheat day"
- Weigh in nude in the morning before eating or drinking and after using the restroom
- Even if I consumed alcohol the night before or having TOM I still weigh in, just to keep track of where I am.
I weigh myself and log it every day. I know some people don't think this is a good idea, but I like to see the trends in my weight. I figure if I weigh myself daily, I can see them more accurately. I don't stress out about the weight every day though. Like, I weighed a pound more today than yesterday. As long as you don't freak out and realize that these are normal fluctuations, I don't see an issue with weighing in every day! Okay, I went on a tangent.
I weigh myself every morning, in the nude, before eating, and after using the restroom.
If I work out in the morning (usually 6am), I weigh myself afterwards.
Aaaand, that's about it!
I weigh in the morning with my pj bottoms (remove the tops) after restroom. but before ANY liquids. (oh- and I don't remove my watch for that extra ounce- even tho there are days that it would make a difference)
I am only supposed to weigh once a week (on Friday) but I ALWAYS break this rule.
I don't record the weight on cc until it drops, so if I am on a plateau (or bouncing) it might be a long time til next register. (but trust me- I know exactly what that scale said regardless of register). and I only record whole numbers (not the ounces)
I keep the pants on so that my scale is not so very different from the dr. office scale (trust me- I don't strip in the hallway for that weigh in- although I have wanted to).
I weigh myself EVERY morning, nude, after the bathroom before even sipping a glass of water or a taste of coffee.
It is the only way to compare apples with apples and get meaningful data.
