Weightloss before pregnancy
Hey guys ! I am 32 and want to conceive soon. But I am overweight. Want to lose and get to a healthy BMI. Would be nice to have friends with similar goals on this difficult ride.
Well in a since I'm in the same boat. For the exact same reason i began my journey almost 3 years ago. I've lost about 120 pounds. I haven't reached my goal. A series of life events have thrown me so far. I can tell i'm gaining although my husband says it doesn't look like it. I've been too scared to get on the scale the past few weeks. I can tell you this, wanting a baby is a great focus. It got me through. I'm about 175 now. Still haven't gotten pregnant but due to things that have happened in mine and my husband's life we're not quite trying yet. I want to move forward and pick up were I left off. I bought a treadmill so that I could workout without having to go to the gym. My food is kind of getting better but i haven't kept track of my calories in I don't know how long. A big part of my journey was forums like this...although i can't remember for the life of me which website it was. So I decided to search out people again. Support is vital. Support from people who truly get it is vital. Maybe we can help one another out to get to our goals?
I have been trying to conceive for over a year now, but I am 35 now. I started to lose weight 3 months ago and have lost 27 pounds. I still need to lose another 40, but I am still trying to get preggers. I am on fertility drugs, so hopefully between the healthly eating and meds, something will happen soon. Hang in there, you can do it and pregnancy is great motivation. How much do you want to lose?
Yes! I am in the same boat as you. (Same age, too.)
But I have a prolapsed uterus and dr. says I need to get some weight off.
I am new to this site, and so far I am loving all the charts for logging food and everything.
Hey guys ! so gud to hear from all of u. I have to reach 125lbs. 26lbs to go. looks like a small number but requires a lot of hard work. so it would lovely to motivate each other.

I have heard that Yoga helps in prolapsed uterus . Had a lady at the yoga class i used to attend ages ago who recovered from it thru Yoga. I hope this is not unsolicited.
Hey, I'm in! I'm 31 and hoping to start trying soon, so I joined the gym to try to get as healthy as possible (and strengthen my core muscles, as i have a bad back and REALLY don't want to cripple myself while pregnant).
I started at 180 back in August (I'm 5'8) and this morning the scales told me I was at 166.6 (hey - that's just one digit away from being the weight of the devil)! Anyway, I'd like down to 145 or so (though I could settle for a bit higher as long as I'm in a healthy BMI rnage) and build muscle before the baby trying, and I'm also planning to keep excercising during so, depending how things sync up, we could support eachother through that too!
I'm guess i'm a youngin here. Just 24 but have been married 5 1/2 years so a baby in the next year would be wonderful. :-) My original goal was 150. So I think for now i'll stick to that. 27 pounds to go! I think I need to revisit my dinners and add up all the calories again. I had a nice neat spreadsheet that told me how much of everything i could have as well as how many calories. I've accidentally mixed up the dinners with calorie amounts and it's so messed up now i just need to recount everything. And I cook some different meals now than what I did back then. I use to really enjoy the math of it all. These days I have a job with heavy thinking (which i really enjoy) but it leaves me not wanting to do much thinking after work. lol But it's time to stop living in the past and move forward! I know the last bit is the hardest but we can do it!!! Hope you all have a good night. Oh and I'm Lori. :-)

27 TO GO!!!
I visited a dietician and am trying to follow the diet she has chalked out for me to the letter 'T'. Well that's not very easy. Just started a couple of days ago. Lets see how it goes. Working out harder in the gym. Like Lori I would love to have a baby in the next year.
hey guys how is it going ? lost 3 pounds feeling good ![]()
Hey - congratulations :)
I'm down to 162 according to the gym scales today, putting me just within healthy BMI range - yay! Also, half-way to my goal of 145lb (down from 180). Came off the pill last week though, so not sure if I'll reach the target or not. It's taken me since August to get this far. Then again, I know it's not unreasonable to think I'd have to wait more than three or for months for good news - I've been on the pill about 12 years!!
How's everyone else doing?
Hello all, new to the site and trying to lose before conceiving as well. Currently at 187, the chart says a healthy weight is 125, I'd take 130.
Lost 1lb this first week, so pretty excited to keep it going!
Congrats !! to all of us. I am not on pill either so I hope at times I don't get to my target.... u know what I mean.
Hey guys, how's it going? Just thought I'd check in. I've barely dropped an ounce since my last post. Well, okay, 1 lb, and I've been working out REALLY hard and eating well but I'm blaming the iron supplement I started taking. It made things ... move slower, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, quick question - I haven't had any kind of bleeding since I came off the pill, not even a withdrawal bleed (took my last one on Nov 13th). I'd occasionally miss one when I was on the pill too, but I figured that was 'cos my hormone levels hadn't dropped enough before my break week was up (no idea how solid the science behind that is though), and it's been almost a three weeks. I know it can take a while for your periods to get back to normal, but withdrawal bleeds aren't normal periods. Shouldn't I have had SOMETHING by now?
I've taken a few tests and they've all been negative (well, two had a very faint blue +, but the downward line was REALLY barely there, and I know blue dye can leak a bit - the pink ones I took were though - ) so I'm pretty sure it's not that.
I was just curious if this had happened to anyone else here, or if anyone knows why it might be happening?
Okay, sorry! That wasn't a quick question at all. Oops
I'm just really curious if anyone had any idea what's going on with my body!
I was advised by my doc not to take iron supplement as we are trying to conceive, i take folic acid as prescribed. As for the withdrawl bleeding question i have no experience.
Is anyone else here TTC after depo shots? Just wondering what your experience has been with the weight coming off and with your cycle getting back to normal.
