weird weight loss
ok.. as most of you know i've lost 45 pounds so far (yay!!!).. anyway.. this last weekend my hubby and i had a really good laugh at me.. i am losing my weight weird.. on my right hand side of my body.. above my waist.. i have a "chunk" out of my side.. but not on my left side... it's like i lost 10 of the pounds in one area the size of a can of vegetables on my side.. the left side is starting to do the same thing.. BUT not at the same time..
can this possibly be normal??? thank god me and the hubby are the only people who can see this.. i look like a freak without a top on! hahaha

I'm having the same problem with my stomach area. My right side is larger than my left and looks lopsided. I'm just hoping that it all evens out after a while. I'm glad I'm not the only one :)
yeah.. i'm right handed.. but i do walking and swing both of my arms a LOT.. not just one or the other.. but i guess when i'm running around my house doing stuff i favor my right side more.. never thought about that..

I just notice that my left bicep is slightly larger than my right, not much but Ican tell and Im left handed. I find it easier when doing crunches to go to my left side than my right. Im worried I will have one side in shape and not the other! LOL
i have that same problem, had it all my life. my mom says one of my hips sits higher than the other, so i get that dip/chunk. my left side transitions nicely from my waist down to the hip, the right side has that crazy dip. glad i'm not the only one. and no one else seems to see it either, unless i point it out.
OK, you guys started me talking about breasts from another post so I'm just gonna keep going with this one... Anyone ever notice a slight difference in breast size... I have a few friends who also say that their dominant hand side shows a tiny difference (smaller) than the other side... Or is that just me and my deranged friends...
i see a slight difference in size, but my left is larger than the right, and i'm right-handed......
ok.. breasts.. i have ugly ugly ugly breasts and my right one is SUPER smaller than the left one.. by about 1/2 cup size.. it's been that way my whole life.. i always heard that your dominat side breast is smaller than the other side due to working the muscles on that side more.. but my size difference is ridiculous!
kist, That's what I meant... If you're right handed, you use that side more therefore you get more muscle mass on that side, so it's smaller. (Right handed = right side smaller) haha.

Very confusing (I've still got big upper arms and stomach).
So why does the body take one body part at a time? Why don't we lose equally all over? Is there a biological reason?
And at the same time, people are telling me it's impossible to 'spot reduce'. Puzzling.

One boobie bigger then the other my whole life. But I don't care about the upper body. As long as I had "cushoning(?)" on my behind it is fine, now my one b... cheek is WAY bigger then the other one, because of my disability.

Lol, my breasts are differnt too ... half a size to a size difference, left bigger than the right ... and I thought I was the only one that was oddly shaped. Left foot is also bigger than my right one.

I was taking my measurements of my thighs today and found I have one thight almost 2 inches larger around than the other. That was very weird. I don't get it.
Contrary to popular belief people are not perfectly symmetrical! LOL Most people typically have one leg longer than the other or one arm longer than the other. Breasts can also differ in sizes too. And as for the weight loss thing, in my tummy I have one side that is definately shrinking faster than the other side. But I know it's just the way the body normally works and I try not to let it get to me.
I can break this down for you. I had the same problem. It was the right side bigger than the left.. more tone and had more weight loss... Ok.. I learn the right side.. The side that i do every thing with moves faster than the left side. The left side is the slow side of the body. I looked like a freak when i was doing arm curls in the morning. I notice that my right arm muscle was bigger than the other. My right calve muscle was bigger and tighter in my boots.. And i didn't get it. When i went to my next doctors appointment.. I asked him like a big fool..
Because i was freaking out. I was thinking why aren't these parts even. Then he told me. You have a lazy side and a strong side. The lazy side can store more fat and not only that lose fat slower~~Than your fast side. The side that is weak just~~ Goes with the flo of things. When you do arm curls with dumbells. You curl the strong arm up first.. And when you go walking. You start off with the strong leg. and the lazy leg just kind drags behind. In time the lazy side will catch up with the weight loss and it will even out..
I notice i have balls of fat lumps and they are all on the lazy side. Fat pockets.. It is going to take some wild workouts to get them all gone. But it is not nice when you have on spendex and have these base ball lumps looking right at you. And then you have this nice looking leg that is perfect.. I do understand this all to well. It will catch up in Know time.
