how many calories are you putting in

its a mind thing,i was on a bodyfuilding diet where you don't starve at all and i didnt want to eat,i felt full all the time, and bloated couldve been from all the healthy foods, but i know sometimes when i diet down,i feel like i want to eat all the time.its a mind thing

eat every 3 t 4 hours,so you feel like your eating all the time, and  plus it boost your metabolism, it also helps you not put 800 calories in one meal,it helpsl; you split it up make sure to put in 5 to 6 small meals a day

What are you currently eating? Even if a person is dieting I don't think they should be experiencing hunger pains. It's about eating lots of filling healthy foods like steamed vegetables, berries, lean meats which make you feel full. I know you believe in a "calorie is a calorie" but you're going to find it very hard to successfully diet if you eat less-filling things like chocolate.

i'm eating tons of oatmeal, veggies, fruit, milk, cheese, &chicken breast. sooo healthy. i dont even have any junk food! (except for today &yesterday)

i expierience severe hunger.

really, no else feels this like i do? i thought ALL dieters are hungry

Hunger can be uncomfortable and a bit painful, but TERRIBLE PAIN is not normal I think. What do you eat in a normal day, how much, and when? When I am really hungry but for some reason I CAN'T have too many calories, I do one of a few things...

-eat a lot of celery, and then have a cup of hot tea
-drink some water, and then some vegetable soup broth (about 20 cals/cup)
-have a hot shower
-eat some peaches in water (25) and then take a nap

But mostly, I try not to be severely hungry.. that's when I

-move my meal or snack earlier

ps. cheese can be healthy but it's not very low calorie OR filling. How many calories per day do you get from cheese? I'm just trying to look at ALL possible reasons for why you are this hungry..

You are probably not experiencing severe hunger.  If you are eating enough calories and those calories are coming from healthy foods, you shouldn't feel starved.  What most of us think are hunger pains is actually our body craving and needing water.

If I feel them, I drink a glass of water.

actually, i'm one of those people who drinks too much water.

i have an avg. of 160 oz.

hehe, i CANT tolerate celery.

Hmmm... maybe you over-feel regular everyday hunger? Because you shouldn't be hurting or feeling like you're starving, no matter what kind of diet you're on. Sometimes I get really hungry if a meal has to be postponed for some reason, but it doesn't HURT. How many calories do you have in an average day?
about 1450... avg.i guess

Then substitute with broccoli, cucumber, baby carrots, a very low cal salad, etc. The point is to just get some mass into your stomach so you feel like you've eaten. Then drinking water afterwards completes the effect.

but then real soon after doesnt your body realize that you ate such a low amount of cals. then you get hungry soon after..

peace - how old are you, I thought you were in your teens...if so, you aren't eating enough

either way, hunger pains are not normal. Many of us get bored and think we're hungry but if you are getting pains that is not normal

actually i have several symptoms of an underactive thyroid..

You may want to make an appt with your doctor and have him check your thyroid.
is it terribly expensive to have it tested? i have insurance.... does it cover the cost?
I'm with you!!! I am hungry all the time and my grumbly tummy can prove it. I am just trying to ignore it and drink more water. not sure what else to do.

Not if your belly is full..

But then again you could very well just not be eating enough calories total. Try upping your calories by a couple hundred per day.. and make sure you are getting all your vitamins.

i saw your 1300 cal thread.. i have 1400 + 100 for every 20 mins of cardio i do

I eat 3 meals and 2 - 100 calorie or less snacks. Although lately i haven't gotten as hungry between meals to need the snacks.

Try eating a dill pickle (0 calories!), fresh fruit, or i really love the special k protein waters - 50 calories and they really do take the edge off hunger.

Yeah.. but I get basically 0 exercise. And there are only adults in that thread. No teens that I'm aware of..

This is definitely something to talk to your doc about. I'm sure we can't diagnose anything serious over the internet =(

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
