Women, how did weight loss affect your boobs?

Quote  |  Reply

I have big boobs and I want to lose about 5 kgs (12 pounds). I'm really afraid it makes them saggy and flat. Is it possible that they get perkier instead? what has your experience been with it? thanks.

Well, ive lost 50lbs and went from a 40D to a 34DD. They are more deflated :( but 12lbs isnt nearly as bad! If I had kept all the mass in my boobs and only lost band size I would be like a 34F so thats still like 2 cup sizes.

I lost about 60 or so pounds and pretty much kept most of the mass in my boobs. I was a 40E, and now I'm down to a 34F. You don't have that much weight to lose so I'd doubt that it would impact too much on your boobs.

My boobs are saggier though unfortunately

I've lost around 30lbs, I was a 16D and now I'm a 12C (sorry, I'm unsure what that is in the different system) but they definitely are not saggier. Hope that helps/gives hope :)

I'd recommend keeping up exercises for the 'chest' area while you're losing weight. I went from 15 st to 11st with no exercise a few years ago over a very short space of time (caused by a major life issue) and my breasts, although in proportion with my body have always had a slightly 'deflated' look about them ever since lol :o( . If i'd done exercises while losing I'm sure it wouldnt have happened....*sigh* I'm trying to do more now to see if it helps!

It may make them smaller, but band size even more. As for saggier, I wouldn't know.  Age (I'm 57) and children have already done that to me.

I've lost about 45 lbs, gone from a 44D/42DD to a 38D, and probably am ready for a new refit (likely 36DD).

I started out at a 34 C and am now lucky to fill a 34 A. Genetics probably play a big role in where you lose the most. My pecks have built up nicely and make nice cleavage but the actually breast tissue has deflated alot! I knew this was going to happened and planned. Breast aug in june. A nice full C.

I always went back and forth with weight loss cause i lost the good stuff too. this way I can have my cake and eat it too. Note I was'nt barely an A cup before children and having children made me a C cup which might have lots to do why weight loss makes me lose breast size.

I lost about 40 pounds, going from a 36D to a 32D-- not really any loss at all, proportionately. I've been 10-15 pounds less than I am now, and my bra size was still a 32D (but my booty disappeared). I haven't noticed any difference in overall shape, but I do have some very small, very faint stretch marks that are very hard to see and I won't whine about (I lost slowly, but my skin is sensitive and fair).

In my 20's there wasn't anything noticeable due to weight loss, however the amount was probably around 20 lbs.  I was pretty much a 36C.

In my 30's and after 2 kids, I had more like 60-70 lbs to lose.  Size went from 36C to 42DD and then some during pregnancy and don't even ask about after.  Stores didn't carry a size that large and recommended a "custom build". I did a lot of strength training and ended up at 38D.  Still fairly perky as I had a good set of pecs to help out.

Unfortunately, I fell off the exercise wagon for a few years and gained about 30-40 lbs which I have again lost.  I'm in my 40s and am now a 34D.  I still have a good set of pecs.  At this point, mother nature and gravity have come into play.  The steel girters in my bras help keep the girls perky! LOL

I've lost 55lbs and went from a 40DD to a 38DD.
I am not impressed. But I have another 35lbs to lose so I am hoping that I will get down to a C cup....

I lost about 10 pounds of fat, and I lost it mostly in the band size. If you are an apple shape and store you fat around the center then your breast size shouldn't change that much. If you are a pear shape you'll likely lose some fat in the breast area. I wouldn't worry about sagging unless you are losing 50+ pounds.

Well, I was young when I first lost a bunch of weight over a short period of time (30 pounds in a few months or so) and was a C cup or around there before the weight loss.

After? scrawny B cup. They didn't sag, no..but definitely jumped ship! The little traitors didn't return once I'd gained around 10 pounds back, either. I stayed at the same weight for years on end, so they didn't come back then either.

About a year or more ago, I lost weight again as I'd gained, but didn't notice a huge difference in my boobs..I just hadn't seen them since the first weight loss.

I don't care, I mean..they're perfectly nice and I suppose more portable and convenient.

Anyway, Victoria's makes great bras for pushing them up and out and..enhancing stuff.

I've lost 30 lbs, and mine are pretty much non-existent. And the tiny bit that is there is saggy.  But I think that has more to do with nursing and being pregnant twice in 3 years.

It really depends on what your boobs are made of. Boobs contain both fat and breast tissue. The fat can be reduced through dieting, but breast tissue will stay the same size (aside from pregnancy, hormonal fluctuations, etc). I have lost 40 lbs (starting BMI 30, current BMI 24) and went from a 34DDD to...a 34DDD. Yup. No change. They started out saggy, and are still saggy, but the right bra does wonders, and building up my chest muscles is helping some too.

I lost 30 pounds over the course of about five months last year and went from a 36C/D (depending on the brand of the bra) to a 34C. My boobs didn't get much saggier and I'd say they look better now than they did when they were bigger.

Also, twelve pounds isn't a massive weight loss or anything, so I sincerely doubt your breasts are going to get super flat and saggy.

I've only lost about 8 pounds and mine have gotten a little more saggy but I haven't lost a cup size yet only gone down in band size my brand new 38B's will not fit around anymore soon :( that kinda makes me sad because I paid a lot for them and they are still brand new and sooo pretty.

Thanks for the replies. :)

I doubt my band size will change at all. I'm a 32 already, so it will probably comes off my boobs. What I really wish to lose, is the weight in my stomach area and my legs, but I don't think I get to pick, lol.

4 years ago I lost 38 pounds and the only thing I noticed was my band size go down from 40DD to 36DD. I recently put a bunch of weight back on and my band size stayed the same, but I went up a cup. I am saggy due to having kids. Before kids I was a 36C, very healthy C and with my first child I hit the 40DD. I have recently lost 20 pounds and haven't noticed a change in neither my cup or band size. I think it just depends on where you have the most fat stored.

I've lost 30 lbs and I've only noticed a change in my band size. I'm waiting for my summer trip down to the states to buy new bras. In Canada, it's assumed that if you have a large cup size, you must be fat. I can't find ANY bras (that don't cost a fortune) for 34 DDD. :(

As for the sagging, it's all gravity's fault. If the damage is done, I don't think there's anything that can be done about it. Chest exercises will make the muscles under the boobs bigger, but that doesn't bring up the big sacks of fat hanging in front of them. My plan is to wait until after I have kids, then get a reduction and lift all at the same time. :P

Its important to buy (inexpensive) new bras the day you notice your bra isnt fitting perfectly as you are losing weight. Don't wait until it is hanging off of you to save money! Take care of your girls ;) 4 out of 5 women wear the wrong bra size and can attribute to sagging. Here's a good instructional video to make sure your bra fits.

Personally I just wear sports bras all the time as I am losing weight and buy 1 regular bra for going out in. So far ive had to buy 40D, 38D, 38C, 36D, and now 34DD. That gets expensive!!

I lost 90 pounds and went from 40DD to 36 (small D/large C.. depends on bra brand) Mine got a little saggier but I would rather be 130 pounds with OK boobs than 220 pounds with nice boobs.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
