Working hard, waiting on results.....
So I have been doing well these past four weeks, although there have been a few weekends with some pizza and drinks.....but would that totally hinder myweight loss completely? Will I not lose at all if I eat a little over on the weekend? I eat great during the week and I workout 3-4 times a week. I am just frustrated today. This is so hard! I am not going to give up, but any advice would be fully appreciated!

it depends on how much you have drank and pizza you've eaten. Also is it Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, etc? Maybe lower your calories a bit or whatever. Try changing your calories up and see what works. Remember, this is going to be a case of trial and error. And actually from what I've seen in several posts, "cheating" for a day sometimes can help you budge over that 'plateau.'
Personally i stay as far away from things that could be considered "bad" for the first 2-3 months of my diet, slowly introducing treats after that. But a few treats now and there shoudn't really hurt that much.
How many calories are you talking about?
It also helps you work out as I don't until again, a few months in to my diet. So you're bound to be loosing quite a bit of weight then.
If it really bothers you, try having a small meal before you go out, drink plenty of water and that'll limit how much you drink and eat.

Hey I am in the same boat as you! Actually, it took me about 2 months of working out and dieting to see any weight some off, and still, its only been about 3lbs. I excersize the same amount you do and during the week I eat super healthy and meticulously count cals. Like you on the weekends though, I do the social eating/drinking thing.
I have been seriously considering giving up the free weekends philosophy though becuause I have been working so hard during the week and not seeing the results I want to see. Its realy hard to give up beer and pizza with friends when you're my age (22)... but I tell myself that once I get down to the weight I want to and it is time to go into maintenance mode, THEN I can start bringing back the stuff I like into my diet.
It still has yet to happen though ;-)
If youre stubborn like me, I would just suggest to maybe start upping the intensity of your work outs. You are probably eating/drinking back most of your calories on the weekends, making your whole week total closer to what you need for maintenance than weight loss. So you need to burn more!
It might go really slow, but you will get there!

I too was plateauing despite careful eating and regular workouts. For the past week, I have been working out everyday (sometimes two cardio sessions per day), and I think I've lost a pound or two...it's too soon to tell. I think working out in the morning has really helped increased my metabolism, so try doing that and you might see better results. I don't know how much longer I can keep the morning workouts up though...it takes a lot of will power to get up earlier to do something you hate!
No one can possibly help you figure out what's going on without stats.
How much do you weigh, height, age, gender, what are the total calories
you are eating, what is the total amount lost over what period of
time. Without this info, we're just shooting in the dark.
i completely understand where you are coming from- i too am on week four, and have definately had some pizza and beer. in fact, i just finished having some ice cream (i'm still at under 1400 for the day, and i like rewards). but what i have figured out is that i would rather go up to 1500 cals a day and actually continue losing slowly than get freaked out by "cheating," feel bad about myself and give up- what i have done plently of times before. i ride my bike 30 or more a day, try to eat good, and have lost four pounds so far. But the greatest progress i have had so was when i got in a bad mood and rather than wanting to eat, i wanted to pedal my bike. yahoo! everyone has thier own "secret formula"- i feel better when i don't stress about food. so thats my new goal. eat well, exercise, and wait for the weight to go down! i hope this helped a little. i just want to you to know that i have had days like that so often!!
