What Do I Add To My Activity Log If I Log Sedentary?

Quote  |  Reply

I've decided to label myself as sedentary on CC. I've only been logging exericse-jogging, circuit training, etc. But if I'm labeled as sedentary should I log things such as school, homework time, walking to and from places? I see some people do that but isn't that already accounted for under sedentary? I'm a bit confused.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks :))

I just put moderate activity and I go to school. So then I just add on sport activities and things like walking to places :)
They average in your walking to and from places. When i go to activity log it assumes i will burn 2500 calories just by going through my day. but if you do anything like take a walk, ride a bike, circuit training then you would add that in. Try to get in 10,000 steps every day! Biking is an easy way to burn those calories. A 50 minute ride was 364 calories burned!!!

hey fit n fierce!

I would put the walking in, but the sitting and doing. eh, not so much...

If you're a bit more active than that, go for light activity.

Hope this helps!

So I basically just log my exercise?

If you are under 21, you shouldn't be using CC's tools at all.

A calculator meant for teens can be found here.
