i can only run about a mile before needing to stop and i enjoy biking much more, i can go so much farther and faster. but which do you think works your muscles harder?
Much easier to get your HR up and maintain it at a higher % of max running than biking, I believe.
Well, running burns more calories faster, but only if you can keep it up...
I used to hate running 'cause I was really bad at it, but since I've started training in the Gym my stamina has increased rapidly and now I like my 3-4 times 30 mins of running a week. However, if you don't like running and just think "I want to stop" while you're at it, rather switch to biking.
Biking is better for your joints and as long as you do it longer than running you can burn just the same amount of cals.
If it's resistance training you're looking for (building up muscles) that proves much more successfull with weights and/or sit-ups, push-ups, etc...
