I used to hate to cook. But since I started gaining weight from eating out I started cooking meals in my home at least 4 days a week. Seeing a big difference in my budget (saving more) and clothes are starting to fit better. If you come up with some low calorie recipes let me know. I have been finding low cal recipes from on-line.

I love cooking, but not healthy cooking.

I love to cook because I like to make food the way I like it. I just don't like cleaning up the mess. LOL

I looove cooking. Even if you can find "healthy" places to eat out, I tend to not trust the nutritional information that they provide. I'm sure they are telling you the lowest amount of calories possible. I would just rather know exactly what I'm getting with each meal!

That being said, I only got this mindset in the last few months after I started counting my calories. Before that, I gained 10 pounds in 3 months from eating too much fast food!

Hi.  I didn't enjoy cooking until I started watching my calories.  Now I do quite enjoy it; and instead of oils and butter I tend to use ALOT of herbs.  I have always struggled with achieving my potassium and iron limits, so today I cooked a corgette turkey cottage cheese lasagna and a homemade tomato soup.  Today I have easily met those two targets!

I would like to cook more healthier options but 1) mom dosent. 2) no ingredients that you need it seems all the recipes call for things my mom wouldn't buy 3) I suck at cooking, like I made salsa chicken because I chopped up onions and had some salsa so I cooked te chicken and threw the salsa in and I ended up with a stomachache all night. I don't even own things like mint parsley umm thyme cumin olive oil. Also lastly all the protein is rock frozen because mom never takes I s unless two days before the planned meal like Wednesday is spaghettie shell take the meat out on Monday -.-
Since I've been eating healthy lately, I've been wanting to make supper so I can make sure no butter is added to the broccoli or no salt in the rice, I kind of like it now. And I learned how to cook plenty of different things, my mother and my stepfather show me how. I've cooked a healthy Sloppy Joe recipe ! It was delicious ! I learned plenty new ingredients.!
I love cooking, but I mostly cook meat... Fish is expensive here. Do you guys know any recipes that are healthy?
You can use apple sauce instead of butter when you bake as for salt, use other spices like black pepper and rosemary
