Did you eat all your veggies today?
So you know how we're suppsed to have 5 servings of fruit and vegetables every day and I was wondering how many of you guys actually meet the daily requirements.
So tell me.. what fruits and veggies did you have today?
Fruits: 2 bananas (in a smoothie), about a cup of cherries, about 2 cups of strawberries
Vegetables: I'm gonna have lettuce and a tomato in my sandwich later for dinner.
You?
Veggies: Onion, cauliflower, Broccoli, Carrot, Potato, Mushroom, Lettuce and Tomato.
Fruit: Orange
I love veggies mm!
Veggies: onion, lettuce, yellow zucchini, cucumber, slice of tomato
Fruit: peach, apple, apple
I haven't had it all yet, but that's the plan. nomnomnom.
That's a good thing to keep in mind, PP.
I just realized I've had no veggies today!
I'm planning on making a really good salad for dinner now. :)

The lettuce and tomato in a sandwhich probably adds up to about 1 serving of veges, not 3 - and three is the bare minimum.
Yesterday I had a lot I think.
I had an apple, strawberries, cucumber, tomato's, baby sweetcorn, courgettes, brocilli and green beans. As well as sweet potatoes but I am unsure whether these count?!

Yeah I didn't say I always reach my daily requirement haha. I just posted how many I had.
Yay fruits and veggies!
A banana, a mango, 3 cups of blueberries...about 6 cups of spinach, a cucumber, a cup of cherry tomatoes, some beans...a carrot, an avocado! ![]()
Well, its only 2:18. But so far I've had -
an apple
a whole tomato, and cucumber slices (on my tuna)
Dinner is going to be a stir fry, so there should be carrots, broccoli, snow peas, maybe some cauliflower. Then I might have a kiwi later.
Generally I get enough fruits and veggies, but it kind of depends on how good I'm being and what I have in the house. I haven't had any yet today, but I'll at least have an apple. If I get any more fruit or any veggies depends on if I make it to the grocery store today (my fridge is pretty bare). But I want to have a nice big salad later.
so far for veggies I've had: 3 or 4 cups of mixed greens, half a tomato, and a few slices of cucumber...oh right, and a baby carrott!
as for fruits, just a lonely apple...unless you count the fruits in my yogurt this morning.
oh well, it's only 4:28. Plenty of time to find something to keep that apple company in my belly :)

Happy to help!
I was just thinking about that earlier....vegetables are the hardest for me to get in. It's not that I don't love them, they're just the last thing on my mind unless there is squash and zucchini in the house...yummy! Fruit I can throw in a smoothie and hit the road, vegetables, unless it's raw - which I'm not a fan of - take so much more time.
Today I had:
2 bananas
1 serving of mixed blueberries, raspberries, & strawberries
3 servings of collard greens (with some spicy mrs. dash to flavor them a bit - no salt)
yesterday....
Fruit: cherries, raisins, a big bowl of fruit salad with all kinds of fruit. I also had banana pudding, but I don't think that would count XD
Vegetables: 2 cups of string beans, corn on the cob
I agree vegetable are harder to get in than fruit.
Hmm... Not really XD
I had a smoothie that had 1/3 of a banana and it had a scoop of this stuff called Green Vibrance. It's a bunch of vegetable powders and spirolina mixed together.
I also had a pack of carrots.
Oh... and onions. On some pizza.
Booyah.
I ate a lot of fruit...a lot. About half my weight in fruit, I think. Blueberries, cherries, strawberries, yum.
Not a lot of veggies, but there were a few.
wow, i haven't had ANY today...
Letsee, started the day with a handful of grape tomatoes.
About a cup and a half of crimini mushrooms with breakfast.
Half of a spaghetti squash, 217g of broccoli and half a small avocado (it is a vegetable right?)
Also had some nice yummy strawberries earlier.
I love vegetables.
Veggies:
Cabbage, sweet green pepper, spinach, cucumber, mushrooms, rhubarb, green onion, diakon, sugar snap peas and pumpkin puree.
Fruits:
Fuji Apple, nectarine, and blueberries
I usually eat way more fruit but started cutting back to fit in more protein.
I always get a banana with breakfast, some kind of veggie at lunch, and at least a serving of veggies at dinner, but not much other fruit. I eat salads whenever I go out to eat, but the fiber in apples is too much for me, since I already come close to ODing on fiber with my love of cereal... at least I get a daily vitamin pill.
