What are your measurments.

Mine, which I hate, is 34, 27, 38

I'm pretty sure I measured myself properly, for my waist, I measured the smallest part, so yea, I don't know if that's right or not.

fenrik: Please, you are NOT a pig, your weight and measurements are totally perfect, you're 20 years old! Most people on here are younger than 16, and probably haven't fully developed. I've read your journal and it is so sad to see you starving yourself, there is no reason to, as you are beautiful just as you are!

This makes me so sad. Beauty on the inside lasts forever.

Yesterday I saw an old, fat lady and the first thing I thought was "Man, she is ugly!" But when I started talking to her, it was amazing. She totally transformed before my eyes. Never had I ever seen such a beautiful woman in my life. Her personality was lively, bubbly, caring, and kind. She stirred something quite deeply in my soul.

You're beautiful the way you are. And you are perfectly healthy. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. Surround yourself with people who have a positive attitude towards food. And most importantly love yourself.

Maybe one day you'll wake up and realize how silly you were to obsess over your measurements. And you may even look back and realize how unhappy you were all these years.

You'll get old eventually, and you will die. And when that happens, your body will disintegrate and you will be NOTHING. People will not remember you for how beautiful you were, etc, etc. They will remember you for who you were and your personality; for the good things you did for society; and for your achievements in this world.

Are your thigh measurements the circumference at the top of your thighs? That is really thin, I'm jealous! :)

There is a big debate as to whether measuring yourself by measurements are good or not. Not everyone is self-confident enough to not measure themselves in some way. I actually find that is when I slip up. Keeping a tight reign on my measurements sure helps to keep myself in check. I find measurements are a better measure than weight because I'm 5'3" and about 132-134 depending on the time of day, which would make me borderline overweight (Or technically, I am overweight because I am asian. I heard that asians are considered overweight at like BMI 22 or something, which is like 121 lbs, which I haven't been since early high school. Don't know how true this is.) but my measurements sound just about right to me. I'm pretty muscular and build muscle rather quickly so It always seems like I'm in a situation where I gain 5 lbs and lose 5 inches.

Anyway:

Age: 20

Height: 5'3" (Hoping for another inch or two to squeeze in there. Not likely but a girl can dream)

Weight: 134 lbs (this morning but I went out to dinner at a super fancy french restaurant last time. It was a special occasion)

Bust: 38"

Ribcage: 27" (Bras are not too hard to find because I already know where to look but they are nowhere near as cute or stylish.)

Biceps: 11"

Waist (Smallest part): 26" (People do get on my case for wanting to lose weight even with this waist measurement but with a 27" ribcage, a 26" waist doesn't curve in much and is still fleshy. Don't know if it will ever but I hope to get it someday.)

Waist (At belly button): 28"

Hips (At hipbones): 34"

Hips (At fullest part): 38"

Thighs: 22" (Always had thick legs. Always will. I've accepted that.)

Calves: 15" (I would be angry about this but paired with 22" thighs, I think they really balance them out.)

I'm pretty happy at where I'm at right now. I would be ok with losing up to 2 inches all over but no more than that.

I'm asian too (east asian) and I have also heard the a bmi of 21 or 22 is overweight. This is because asians naturally carry more body fat than whites. In general, white men and women with a bmi greater than 25 have a higher risk of developing heart disease and other weight related diseases. Asians who have a bmi of only 21 or 22 have the same risk of developing these diseases. Of course if you have a high percentage of muscle mass then you shouldn't worry. An asian friend of mine is extremely buff and has a high bmi. She's fine though. It's mostly muscle. :)

I was wondering about that. I'm east asian as well and I remember being mortified as a child when I saw the scale said 120 when most of my cousins were at 90-100 lbs. I also remember seeing a korean movie where a couple of women were talking about how 130 lbs was grossly obese. Man, what a downer! That's pretty much why I've stopped looking at the scale. Otherwise, if people don't know my real weight, they think my 135 is closer to 115, which would be healthy, even by the asian BMI. Thanks for the info.

I know the numbers make me sound big for my height but I am slender with a sturdy build.  Any smaller and I would look sickly.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
