Another great day! Woke up waaay earlier than my sister, but found enough food for breakfast in her apartment to ea. Then we went to central market (llooooove central market, I got almond butter, which I am not too impressed with, lots of spices, and dried soy protein which I found you can make like oatmeal and tastes pretty darn good. Then we went out to lunch at a really good chinese restaurant that did not have food swimming in sauce and oil, I was quite surprised when I got my meal, as I am used to the 2 cups of sauce for 1 cup of food. I will definitely be going back next year when I live up here! Then we went to play lunar mini golf! the worker was really cute too and he gave us 2 free coupons to come back :P. And we saw a play tonight, it was a bit cheesy, but cute. Then of course fro-yo with her freinds and roommates! Yay! I love all the different flavors they have!!

Today is a new day and I'm not going to let this slip carry on. I've lost weight and it's not good for me. I'll post my MP at the end of the day and it WILL be more.

strawberry: I am up for anything when it comes to different types of cuisine. My two favorite would probably be Mediterranean and Asian. I think you really experience something new when you go to an ethnic restaurant, it's an adventure.

music: what's your favorite gluten free bread?

misskorny: I don't eat in the school cafeteria in high school. Well actually I have never eat in the school cafeteria. I always eat in a teacher's class room. I am not allowed to go off campus for lunch though so that's unfortunate.

Oh that's interesting! I have had the same teacher for both Lit and Language so it's actually really cool. My writing as changed dramatically. I feel a little more confident about going into college and being able to write for my classes.

That's not corny at all..that honest to goodness is heaven on earth. I love to just walk around Whole Foods and see what they have. There are so many diverse things!`You are really racking in the dough with all the hours you have been working! I have never tried the Newman's chocolate, really good?

monica: Central market is awesome. But, ours is in the part of the city we never really good too. We used to live in the city so my doctor is still there so when she used to bring me to the doctor she would take me to Central market afterwards. It made it toady worth it. lol

mashed: Push yourself!

Claire-  Your breakfast sounds to die for! :) you should be a chef ;) seriously girl you're doing amazingly! <3

Mashed- hello love, i'm sorry your struggling...But knowing you, you will get right back on your feet!  you CAN do this, stay brave lovie.. i am always here 100% if you need anything at all. xx

sophe! hey girly :) sounds like you had lots of fun in the city with your friends :) Isn't it great to be able to go out and eat out with friends rather than isolating?! :) You're doing SO well babe, and i am so incredibly proud & inspired by you! ohh + your sushi and desserts sound so delicious!! xx

Thank you so much for everyone who gave me support, It really helps to know there are people who understand out there. Everyone on here is too nice ;)!

Good news, I may be leaving Monday already! (I have never been in IP for such a short time!) Because I have been eating all my meals and because my parents talked to the docs and they want me back in school so that I can finish up the year and score good on my standardized testing that will affect college. I am on almost 6000 cals! Ugh so full, but I know it's needed because at home I was not gaining and I was on 3000-3500cals. And all my bloods and everything is stable, it's just my weight is low.

Mashed- I hope this doesn't sound creepy, but I have followed your progress and used to be a reader of your first blog :), and I just wanted to say you are so capable and intelligent and I know you can do this and get back on track. You have always been such an inspiration to me and I wish you the best <3!

Coffee- I am so envious of your Starbucks latte ;). I love those earth balls, they have them at a health food store near me! Are they wrapped in foil that looks like the outside of the earth?!

Daydream- Im so sorry to hear your struggling hun x. Your right, you cant repeat the same thing again and again. I know how hard it is to up it when you start lowering and maintaining/slowly losing because I have been doing that for AWHILE. But I know you have the strength, you have proved it and have come so far. Don't give up now! 1600 is nothing, you need much more than that to even maintain! ps- I love boomi bars too!

Claire- WOW, your meals look amazing. I have never made stuffed french toast, but it sounds divine, I must make it ASAP! And butter croissant?! Yum! :)

Monica- Is central market like a farmers market? I love going to those! I am surprised you didn't like almond butter, it is my all time fav nut butter I think! Was it freshly ground?

B: 1 Large cinnamon raisin bagel, 2tbsp peanut butter, 2tbsp jelly, 1 chocolate ensure plus, 2c soymilk, fruit cup, 2 hard boiled eggs (1300)

L: Turkey sandwich, 2 packs pretzels, fruit cup, 2c soymilk, 2 chocolate chip cookies, grilled chicken caesar salad (1300)

S: 2 blueberry nutrigrain bars, 1c orange juice, 2 vanilla yogurts  (700)

D: Grilled chicken sandwich, large sweet potato with 2tbsp butter, steamed broccoli, 2c soymilk, carrot cake (1300)

S: 2 chocolate ensure pluses, 2 pack raisin bran, 1 banana, 2tbsp pb (1300)

Also I am going through MAJOR caffeine withdrawal and have had the worst headache the past few days :(. I was used to drinking so many cups a day, and to cut back to 0 is so hard!

Carrot- That is good, it is hard now, but in the long run it will be better! It would not be good to go off to college with such a low weight! Not quite like a farmers market, but sort of close. They do make it fresh, I don't know, maybe it needs more salt or something.. sugar? Don't know, next time I will try cashew butter and see if I like that better. And ick on the caffeine, I cut it all out a long time ago because during ED I lived off it, now I can't drink it at all or I get really shaky/low blood sugary. It is sooo weird!

Avboston- I used to love going to the doctor I hated (lol, irony), because after we went to kroger where I could pick out all my favorite grocerys :). I am still glad I quit that doctor though, I hated her so much!

Going to church right now with my sister and the catholic group at UTD, then to einstein bagels!!! Yippee!

lowri: yes, i watched the royal wedding! her dress was absolutely perfect!

avboston: i've never had baklava, but i've always wanted to try it! how does it taste?

coffeestains18: how did the blueberry larabar taste? i've never tried the blueberry flavor because they don't sell it at the store i buy them from, but i've wanted to try it! i did buy a ton of larabars yesterday though because they were $.50 each + my store had free samples :)

-------

hey guys! i'm gonna post yesterday's eat. i started protein shakes yesterday, but i still made enough calories to post!

breakfast: strawberry protein shake (unsweetened coconut milk, strawberry protein powder, cleansing powder, 1/2 banana, strawberries)

lunch: chocolate protein shake (unsweetened almond milk, chocolate protein powder, cleansing powder, 1/2 banana, peppermint extract, almond butter, 1tbsp fiber)

snack: frozen blueberries with agave, coconut, & crushed walnuts.

dinner: organic yellow corn tortilla chips with homemade black bean dip, a green salad topped with sauteed chicken, orange pepper, onion, & salsa.

snack: frozen blueberries + strawberries with raw honey & coconut, a handful of pistachios.

I've been struggling again and have fallen back into the ridiculous cycle of restricting. With final exams coming up, I know that I need to keep my body healthy in order to do well. So this has been a motivator for me to pull myself back up.

So yesterday I attempted to eat "normally" (still don't really understand what that is exactly), and overall I think I did pretty well. I went to Whole Foods to buy groceries, and saturdays are the day that they give out free samples. So I definitely took advantage of all the free stuff they were handing out and called it a free lunch, haha.

Breakfast: Oatmeal made of Rye Flakes cooked with a little bit of Almond Milk with Splenda and Cinnamon mixed in, a huge cup of Coconut Coffee with Almond Milk.=215

Lunch: [Free Samples at Whole Foods - tried a little of everything] Fresh Strawberries, 1/3 of a Salmon Burger w/ Asparagus Tips, different assortments of hard cheese including Parmesan and Smoked Gouda and a few more, Spicy Chicken with Guacamole, Pork with some tangy/spicy sauce, A Tiramisu Wafer, Mixed Vegetables sauted in Coconut Oil, Chip with Queso, some Cheese Noodle Casserole, Cracker with French Onion Dip, and a bit of a Strawberry Protein Drink. =[this is a total estimate based on the calorie calculator, but I'm pretty sure it was even more than that, but I'm not going to allow myself to freak out over it] ~588

Snack: A Peanut Butter Persuasion Cookie from the Alternative Baking Company.=480

Dinner: Original Sunshine Burger, huge Garlic Focaccia Roll. =579

Total was 1,862

It was a lot more than I've eaten in a long time and I totally wanted to flip out over it, especially since I wasn't 100% certain on the calories I ate for lunch. But I didn't purge as much as I wanted to, so I'm happy about that. And I didn't gain despite the huge difference in calories from normal.

Thanks so much for all the support, guys. It really means a lot. Realistically I KNOW I'm better than this, that I've come so bloody far that to relapse now would be not only ridiculous but potentially ruin my life - I have so much to lose, and physically I've been told by several doctors that the chances of my body surviving another relapse are very narrow... The disordered part of my brain keeps laughing at that, saying to me 'but you're NOT relapsing, you're just losing a BIT' - I know there's no such thing as a bit with this illness - it becomes more, and more, and more.

I was SO hungover today it was unbelievable. Not eating a substantial enough dinner last night meant I got drunk very quickly and had nothing that would soak it up properly in my stomach. Needless to say today has been spent curled up on the sofa shivering, which has made it even harder to battle the 'guilt' factor because I haven't DONE anything. I don't know how much to aim for today - realistically, I know I should conquer at least 1800 on NO activity, because that will mean it will be much easier to shoot for 2000 tomorrow. I'm only at 1300 now though, and the thought of eating another 500 (it's 9pm) when I've done nothing is horribly and all too familiarly overwhelming. I stupidly didn't eat much during the day, partly due to feeling like death and partly due to the fact I thought we were ordering Mexican food tonight, but plans changed, and so my dinner wasn't the huge grease-fest I was anticipating. The temptation to just 'leave it' for today is huge. As is the temptation to resort to substances to put me in a place where I'll most likely eat the 500 calories plus some more, then feel disgustingly guilty tomorrow and hold myself back further.

I want to cry, I have to do this, I haven't had a 'lapse' like this in over a year and I'm so frightened. I know 15 to 1600 calories daily doesn't sound like an 'anorexic relapse' to most people but my calories haven't slipped that low in a LONG time. I haven't lost weight in a long time. Every day that I let this continue (and if I go to bed now and don't eat more, I know 1300 will become the new 'benchmark' tomorrow) I'm potentially throwing my life away.

So why am I so scared to just go downstairs and make some bloody food?

Musiclover12438: I love starbucks fraps w/ soy milk! Haven't had one in months tho.

Misskorny: Thanks! I am going to buy the fiber one caramel or the fiber one oats and honey depending on my mood when I'm shopping. :) If my meals look skimpy don't be afraid to tell me! D:

Monicamarie93: You don't like almond butter?! I'm in LOVE<3 with it!

Mashed: You can up the calories! I'm trying to up mine as well.

Carrot: I wish I had the appetite you do! The most I can eat at once is around 700 calories and that's only if I'm STARVING!

S: siggi's pomegranate & passionfruit yogurt, strawberries, green tea.

musiclover: that strawberry siggi's yogurt sounds so good! i love your eats. but i thought luna bars have gluten?

misskorny: i used to be vegan too! why'd you stop?

coffeestains: your dinner looks amazing. i love artichokes and i love tj's ravioli, i'll definitely be trying that soon!

carrotcake: i'm so impressed/inspired by you. you are doing such an amazing job and i think that you have what it takes to beat this disease once and for all.

I have a problem.. can you guys help me :(

It's not about reaching cals but I think I'm going to BED.. and I know this is common for ex-anorexic patients.

I'm insomniatic and so I wake up at 1am EVERY day and then eat.. I try about 500 for a breakfast (I know it's super early but I wake up hungry) but I can't sleep so I end up binging to over 1000calories by like 5am and it means I make the cals for the day but it makes me feel SO GUILTY and I don't eat as much as I like to during the day! I tried brushing my teeth, drinking water etc but nothing helps :( I'm sitting here just crying because I feel so guilty :( please help me.

I really don't mean for this to be triggering in any way so tell me if it is and I will delete but I would really appreciate an insight to help :(

@misskorny- It's so funny that you said that about the ginger-flax muffins because I totally screwed up the recipe XD They tasted delicious though, super moist but unfortunately they came out deformed and did not look appetizing at all, lol. I got the recipe from here- http://www.theppk.com/2009/12/gingerbread-fla x-muffins/ I tweaked it a bit, but Im sure if you follow it exactly they'll come out looking nice. It's supposed to make 6 but I was able to make 8. Yeah I try to space things out too but something always gets in the way of my planning, perhaps i should just be more spontaneous and go with the flow, lol.

@avboston- Me too, i love trying new foods.. and mmm Mediterranean bring on the olive oil & falafel! haha

I went to a Japanese festival today...so more Japanese food, yay!

B- oatmeal+unsweetened almond milk+pb+pumpkin butter+flaxseed+cinnamon- 340

L- yukari onigiri (japanese rice ball with dried shisho leaves)- 180; small soba salad with carrots and edamame- 200, 3 pieces of dango (rice dough desert)- 190; kombucha tea (omg this was so delish, i have to find a place to buy it!)

S- plain greek yogurt+ kiwi+ strawberry+ honey+ blueberry and cream granola- 240; babay carrots with salsa&sourcream- 70; iced oatmeal luna bar- 180

D- amy's matar paneer- 370

S- (will be) banana+pb- 200; 3 pieces of fine&raw bon bon dark chocolate- 90

Total- 2060

Rhythms: The strawberry siggi's yogurt is very good, but different it has a thicker conistancy. Its expensive too! Its not even greek yogurt and it has a TON of protein.  All luna bars have gluten excpet chocolate rasberry and their protein bars. The gluten they have is the oats. They are rolled with wheat. Thanx though! My food was kind of all over place, not the most balanced, but it was yummy ;)

mzundeztood: They are really good. Starbucks soy milk is yummy. You should have one! Your intake looks better, but try to up it, your body will thank you :)

Strawberrysakura: I love Japanese food, well I love asian food in general!

Will post eats later on....

sleepy-  are you still underweight? Because I had horrible insomnia  and was always waking up to eat while I was still under 18.5 BMI, your body doesn't want you to sleep because it wants you to be hunting for food, it is a survival technique. You shouldn't feel guilty about it.

mzundeztood- I know, everybody has said it is sooo delicious, but I really don't care for it. I will use it up though, luckily I only bought about 4 oz of it. Your meals are looking pretty good to me! Though I must say, don't be afraid of eating "unhealthy" foods, your meals look extremely well-balanced, but treats should be allowed :P (even though those bar things are totally as good as candy bars :P).I don't remember if I replied to you earlier, but you are definintely a very active teen, not lightly active!

irishshorty- free samples, I loooove free samples, I was at central market and they always have lots of good free samples! It's a good start at being 'normal'(whatever normal is :P) I'd say! :D

Todays eats-

b- 1/2 c. textured soy protein cooked w/ water, 1 tbs almond butter mixed in, topped w/ 1.c. strawberries ( 250)

s- none, was at church

l- einstein bagles! Turkey tornado wrap, & 1/2 cranberry bagel (450)

s- string cheese, lots of strawberries w/ a bit of sugar, part of a milk chocolate bordeaux egg (200)

d- portabella mushroom cap (getting a bit tired of these, but we had bought 2 packs of 5 on clearance, since they are usually really expensive), stuffed w/ cottage cheese, mozzarella, & 3 turkey meatballs, topped with marinara sauce. (300)

s1- 6 oz light yogurt, 1/2 c. chocolate ice cream (200)

s2- rest of my bagel w/ either almond butter or strawberry cream cheese (250)

1650?

musiclover12438: I have been upping it 200 calories everyday! My weight is 97.0lbs right BEFORE I go to bed, so probly around 96ish in the morning. I really ate until I was STUFFED for every meal, and my dinner was smaller, well still 500+ calories because my snack was only 1/2 hour before dinner! I had my snack at 4:00 and my mom finished dinner at 4:30. :( I am still stuffed tho! I'm trying my hardest!

monicamarie93: I don't eat those bars because they taste good, I eat them because of all the nutrients, and I'm very on the go and can't bring foods with me! The only time I am sitting when I'm eating is dinner. :/ I figure an organic nutrition bar is better than other things I could be bringing with me. (Most of my gymnastics friends bring those prepackaged brownies, and zebra cakes w/ them). And I don't feel as if I even eat that healthy, tho I do get an "A" everyday when I log all my foods into this! But I do try to eat as healthy as possible.

It's so hard for me to get all my calories in on the week days! Wish me luck!

monica: They built a brand new Kroger right near me haha now we have two within 10 miles. Haha, some doctors just aren't good. It's sad how fast doctors come in and go out it's like they don't have time. I am hoping to get really involved with a Catholic group when I move to college next year. I don't want to lose God.

Want to send the mushrooms my way? Maybe without the turkey meatball :) haha I love mushrooms.

volleyball: If you love nuts and sweet things baklava is perfect for you. I absolutely love them.

irish: What Whole Foods has a samples day?! Oh my goodness. I had no idea. I am going to have to figure out when sample day is at my Whole Foods. I shall take advantage.

mash: This post is important. You are getting your feelings out. That's perfect because when you trap them up inside and start restricting that's when the problems being. Keep posting, keep fighting!

mzunderztood: Yes, the calories are up that's good.

strawberry: The things that people can create out of chickpeas is absolutely mind blowing. I don't know how Mediterranean dishes take just olive oil, lemon, and some herbs like mint and manage to create such dynamic flavors. Oh I am so jealous of your festival travels!

Avboston:  Mmm.  Your dinner at Dimassi’s Buffet sounds really good!  What kind of food is it?  Like, Mediterranean?  And Yay for more wraps!  Aha.

Oh I don’t eat in my school cafeteria ever either, except when I get free food vouchers for cafeteria food aha.  I was just saying that mine had a microwave, and a toaster if I can remember correctly…

Taking AP Lit and Lang will definitely help you in college!  I had different teachers for them, but the teachers were best friends… imagine that!! (sarcasm)  I’m glad I had two different teachers, though, because I was able to be exposed to different ideas of how to write.  But I bet that one teacher is pretty rockin’ if they can teach both AP Lit and Lang!

I actually am making very little dough!  AE cancelled two of my shifts last week.  Rawr.  Oh well.  I will work again.  And I just have to save money since almost all of it goes to buying gas!  Grr I don’t like my gas-guzzler Jeep!  But I’m just really grateful to have a car.  Do you have a car?  And yes, Newman’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups are soooo amazing!!  You must try them and let me know how you like them!

Lowri: It is nice to talk to someone who actually knows how to help you!  Aha.  Do you see a therapist?  And mmm – banana coconut loaf.  (:

Mashed:  I knew you could maintain on more!  I hope you find a good balance and can keep your weight up!  I hope you can get over this, too.  You are such a strong person, don’t let this beat you.

Mzundeztood:  Your food looks much better today.  Great Job and keep it up (:

Rhythms: I realized I was using veganism as a form of restriction, and I realized I like fish and chicken too much!!  :\  But I still have some days where I don’t eat any meat and I don’t miss it.  What about you?  Why did you stop?

Strawberrysakura:  Mmm those muffins look good.  But they have soo many ingredients.  Me = lazy.  Ahaha.  I like to try to go with the flow for eating too, but when I do that, I end up either getting REALLY hungry and turning very bitter and impatient, or I end up getting anorexic thoughts and don’t eat anything… So planning is kinda what I have to do unfortunately.  Maybe one day in the future when I am weight restored, I will be able to go with the flow again!  Yay for Japanese!!

Today was a good day.  Lots of church aha.  I love Sundays (:

Breakfast: Bowl of Cereal (FiberOne Orignal and Cinnamon Cherrios), Sliced Strawberries, Banana, Almond Breeze [I know this is getting repetitive, but I’m going to change it up really soon I promise!] (400)

Lunch: (Cracker Barrel <3) Spicy Grilled Catfish, Side of Baby Carrots, Side of Green Beans, 2 Cornbread Muffins with Honey (650?)

Dinner: 2 Slices WW Toast spread with a wedge of Laughing Cow Light Swiss topped with 2 Sliced HB Eggs, Fuji Apple, Cantaloupe, Pineapple (450)

Snack: Dannon Vanilla Greek Yogurt with Frozen Berries, ½ Frozen Banana and a Gnu Cinnamon Raisin Fiber Bar [I love these – and they have 13g Fiber!] (350)

Activity: 35 minutes Rollar Blading.  Lots of Singing!
