Four Week Club, Part II - Starts Monday May 12th and ends Monday, June 9th! -- CLOSED to new members

Hey, I think it was pretty successful and, to be honest, I liked almost everybody that was involved.

(Kidding!)

Same dilly - For those of us in the current four week count down, post your final weight there, and then copy and paste it here... as it will be the starting weight here!

Morning Weigh ins on May 12th, and then every Thursday and Monday from then on!

(I'm actually pretty glad to do this - I'm going to Hawaii on June 12th, so I'd love a reason to keep driving to my goal weight before I get on that plane.)

Awright! Who's in!

Hello, happy Monday.

That was the extent of my joy.

SW 149.6

Thur 150.2

CW 150.2 So much for saying good bye to 150 :(

I've only been doing this for a little over 3 months.  I've lost 25lbs :).  Could this be a platoue already?  This is 3 weeks of bouncing around that stupid 150 mark.

I eat between 1200 and 1600 calories a day.  I try to average about 1500 for the week.  I'm 5'4" and still have another 25 to go.  All I want to do is eat (out of frustration not hunger) but then again I don't want to go over 1200 when this crap happens but I do cause I don't want to screw with my metabolism.

Sorry for the rant I know some of you have platoued for up to 4 months.  I give you so much credit.  This is where it gets really hard for me.  I'm glad I have this group.

Maybe it'll drop by next weigh in.

Thanks for reading.  Good job to everyone for sticking with it and being accountable!

I don't know what is going on. I weighed in at 206 this morning:( It has to be water weight. I didn't drink that much water this weekend.

So for today...

CW: 193

SW:195

Though, I think the scale at my office is high :-)  That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

so... my scale couldn't make up its mind this morning.. there was a 2lbs variance over th course of about a minute and a half and like 10 times jumping on the thing... rather than taking the mean or the median or anything like that... I'm taking the lowest, b/c I deserve it!  Yep.. that's what i get for watching my friends eat delicious food after I'd met my calorie count and was stuffed (they changed their minds and made food after they told me they weren't going too!!!)

In either case.. today's number: 185.2.  Down from 186.8 on the 15th... I'll take it!

Take it! Take it and run with it. I just went to the gym today, and I did the happy dance at the gym... There scale said 163.5, and I was like... HOT DAMN! But I am sticking with what I posted on here... I know if I was to go to there scale and weigh again on Tuesday I'll be up that half give or take..

:) Take the number.

1st Monday: 146

1st Thursday: 145

2nd Monday: 145.5 (*this post was edited cause I went to the gym, which has a more accurate scale, and this was what I weighed there!!*)

Hey guys.  Happy Monday!  Ugh I acualy gained a lb since my last post.  I think it was the beers this weekend.  Still 2 lbs down since last Monday though!  Right on track.

STATS:
SW: 164.4

Last Thursdays weight: 161.4

CW: 162.8

This months goal: 6.4lbs / 158lbs

Hey hey!

Okay, I'm at 193.5.

Stagnant much?

AAAGH!

:)

well, water weight or no... at least the numbers going down.

CW: 139.0

Last Thurs: 140.0

Last Monday: 138.2 (?) I think

Time to get back on track. Good luck to all this week. I'm giving the vinegar cider a go. we'll see how I like it. What is the recommended use? Take before meals? Twice daily?

I love vinegar, so I don't think I'll mind (yes. I know I'm weird. I also love eating lemons by themselves. Yes I know that ruins your teeth. One vice at a time... one vice at a time.)

Okay.  Sometimes, I think, I get so wrapped up in the minutia of that effin' scale I lose track of how well this group of people have motivated me.  I may not be losing that much over the last week or so, but...

I started on March 16th

Last Entry: 193.5 lbs (May 19 2008)
Goal Weight: 189 lbs (Sep 01 2008)

Status: Lost 21.5 lbs, 4.5 lbs to go!

I think I'll shut up now, but please... stay on my ass and keep with the advice because it's really, clearly, obviously helping!

:)

Happy Monday! (Well, it might be Tuesday for some of you, lol)

CW: 124....still

I think I'm over-relying on summer break to get myself in gear.  Plus I was a big slacker these past two weeks.  It was teacher appreciation week last week, and there was a lot of food all week long.  (I had no will power...pizza is one of many downfalls, lol)

But I lost 12 pounds since January, so that averages to about 2 pounds a month.  Since I'm 5'3", I think my body has been fighting it lately.  I'd love to be 118 by my 38th in July, but I'm not stressing about it.  It'll happen when it happens.  In the meantime, I'm back to working out and logging calories and making my own meals.

Now if I can just win the lottery so I can hire a cook/nutritionist and a masseuse, I'd be one happy camper!

Great job, everybody!

So, I forgot to weigh in this morning, so I did it at about 10 PM.  I was not looking forward to it, as I had a ton of Diet Pepsi and coffee, macaroni and cheese for dinner, so I had a ton of sodium, plus (sorry boys!) TTOM just started about an hour before I weighed in.  The bad news was that I didn't lose anything, but I'm at 120...so even though technically I gained a lb it might be down tomorrow.  I might check again in the am.

Good work everyone, talk to you all on Thursday!

I thought this was interesting:

"You are correct in your statement that matter must be conserved in any

closed system. When you weigh yourself in the evening and then again the next morning, however, you have not maintained a closed system all night. Weight losses include any urine or other body wastes, plus the things that are less obvious. The normal daily urine loss at normal temperature is approximately 1400 ml/day or approximately 3.3 pounds. When your body converts food materials to energy, CO2 and water vapor are released to the blood stream that ultimately may leave through the lungs. Water lost through the lungs amounts to approximately 350 ml/day at normal temperatures or approximately 3/4 pound. The skin loses another 350 ml/day to insensible perspiration (that which you do not notice as liquid water but evaporates directly into the air). The sweat you do notice as liquid is lost at a rate in proportion to the surrounding temperature and the level of activity. Normal temeprature with little activity can produce approximately 100 ml/day this way while under prolonged heavy exercise this number may go up to 5000 ml/day or 11 pounds. The daily totals for water loss during a normal day add up to between 2400 and 6700 ml/day or from between about 6 to about 15 pounds per day. If 1/3 of this occurs at night, the body weight loss could be in the range of 2 to 3 pounds. Textbook of Medical Physiology W.B. Saunders Co. Philadelphia, PA 1976"
...And also why I weigh myself in the AM.

Hmm yeah I usually weigh myself in the a.m. too, but a lot of the time I actually weigh less in the afternoon. Rarely do I weigh in lower at night, although when I do I'm stoked because it means that number is solid and not a fluke. One o'clock seems to be a good weigh in time for me for some reason!

Good morning, I weigh myself in the morning. I always wait 15-30 mins before I weigh myself in the morning. To make sure I'm relaxed and ready to be weigh. My muscles are always tight when I get up in the morn. So that's when I weigh. That's the best way for me. A.M.

Yeah I think it's also best to weigh yourself after you've worked out.. today I went to the gym and I was 146 before working out and an hour and thirty minutes later I was 145. Whooo! Of course I'm going to take the 145 over the 146 :-P

Last night I was still at 127 (same as last Thursday and Monday). Yuck!

I did that once... I was 190 at the time, and I wanted to see if I could get past that damn 190. SO I worked out really hard for 2 hours- weights and everything.. I was full at it.. I got done with the last cardio machine.. Ran right in front of this chic so I can get the Weight and BMI Report first. You know what I got. 193.4 and BMI of 38%. Every thing went up by 3 when I re- weighed myself. LOL  I will never do that again..  2 days later I weigh in again, and I was 188. We can't really trust the Scales. We have to trust the fit in our clothes.. That's what my trainer tells me all the time. So I check inches to on Monday and now Thursday. I think I will add my measurements the next time I weigh in on here.

omg. oops. forgot to post yesterday :O

anyways, I just weighed myself aaannnnddddd. 125!!! down from 128! I'm really really happy :)

Hey, sorry to arrive here late -- I was in Week 4 Club, part I.

Anyway, I wanted to share the thrilling news - I lost nearly 7 lbs! I was 142 when I joined. Right now I weigh at 135.2! WoOt!

I agree with Marmel - I like weighing in the morning as we burn calories while we sleep and fast during the night. Oh yeah, make sure you pee AFTER and BEFORE you all eat breakfast/drink water. Common sense, right?

Hope you all are doing great. :)
