What the hell, right?  Instead of a goal of losing a certain amount, I wanted to try supporting for time, not a number.  Try a short term goal based on shaping behavior, not necessarily specific results.  

(That being said, I'm aiming for a pound every three or four days.)

Me, today:  6 ft 1 / Currently: 203 Pounds / Goal Weight: 185 Pounds

Who wants to ride out a month together?

Weigh ins on Monday and Thursday mornings?  Starting Monday April 14th and ending on Monday, May 12th?

Okay!  We are good to go!  I'll start us off with the caveat that I'll edit my weigh in tomorrow morning when I get up.  It could be higher, courtesy of my little hot dog debacle earlier today.

Our group includes:

And now, my stuff:

     Day 1 Weigh-In:  Monday, April 14th

     Marmel13:  203.5 pounds  (I gained a half pound over night.  WTF?)

Game plan for today:

Not drink at work.  KIDDING!

Workout:   Up at 6:45 for today's weigh in. 

Then, off to the gym for half hour of 4.0 mile per hour treadmill, then half hour of basic health club workout with a trainer.  Estimate for that, I can add 450 calories to the burn total, which gives me 2800 calories to subtract from today.

Will aim for between 1600 and 1900 calories in.

Challanges for me, today:

Up early for work out and work, always adds the time and space for an extra meal.  Am writing in a room with other people, which means snacks everywhere.  Plus, then I go into an editing bay for four hours - with nothing but crackers and crap to eat.

Need to remember to drink water, not soda and not eat crap, just because I'm bored.

I'm in!!  I just cleaned out my kitchen and bought healthy foods!  Plus I have a big pool party next month and it would be nice to feel more confident in my bikini!

I'm a 24 year old female, 5'4" and currently 144.  My BIG goal is 128.  Maybe by May 12 I can get to 138?

This is my first "support group" so maybe it will be great motivation!

goal: healthy :D  The site recommends like 152 for me, I'd like to see a good 165 w/ muscle mass.  goal date? I'm not setting one.  I want to be healthy, not skinny tomorrow.  that aside, the sooner the better right?  :D

Ok Sounds good. I am 5'8'' and a 23yr old female, living with my really hyper-metabolized boyfriend. So I need to seek motivation outside of my apartment (and snacks.. all we have is english toffee hagen daz. yum).  Two weigh ins a week. Since I have no scale in my apt., it is extra motivation to go to the gym. (But I can cheat today, since I had to go to the Dr. and she weighed me). I

CW: 139

GW: 125.... but that is for the long run...

in the short term: 130 would be heaven.

Not only that, I will get married on Sept 6th. My goal is to weight 120 lbs by August 9th.

 I have the SAME PROBLEM with my boyfriend.  He can take the stairs instead of the elevator for a week and lose 10 lbs!  He can eat two big macs at a time!  He has a sweet tooth the size of Montana!  Hes's SUPER METABOLISM.  He also does NOT like to eat vegetables, so that holds me back a bit too.  I've decided to let him fend for himself food-wise while I focus on losing weight.

Sweet.

I'll keep the group open until Sunday night, then I'll close it down and off we go.

If it's not too late, I'll fight the good fight with you all!

I'm 5'2 and this morning the scale said 179 and by May 12th, maybe I can get to 171 or 170.

So far so good, here's to all the positive support!!

My biggest challenge: Vegas for four days next week. Yikes, let's hope I can maintain and not gain! Any suggestions on how to do that would be greatly appreciated!

I'm already packing a load of healthy fruits and snacks .

We're wide open until Sunday night!

I have never had a weight problem until the last 3 years (I am 55, female). I now fight to keep weight a 156 but I really need to get back down to 147. Right now I would like to see 150 by end of April.

I am pretty good about exercise, but need to reduce my wine drinking and my midnight snacking.

I am glad i found a place to get some support.

Hi everyone! If its not too late i'd like to join the team. I'm 22yrs old, 5'6, female, and currently weigh 225lbs.  I want to take it slow and do it right this time! I keep having the yo-yo effect so I dont want to get on a "diet".  I want to change my eating habbits and do the right thing at a slow pace.  I'd really like some support in this.

I'm in.

I'm 26, or will be on the 20th, 5'7" and currently 156.2lbs.  Ultimate goal is 135lbs.  I would love to be at the bottom of the 150's at the end of 4 weeks.  But more than that I want to stick to my eating goals.

MOre veggies, fruits, fiber, protein...overall HEALTHY CHOICES! 

And more exercise, planned exercise because I have all the time in the world everyday, but I just don't do it.  30 minutes, 5 days a week would be a fantastic goal for me.
