Fox News Gone Wild
The network that gave Bush Florida has now given Obama Ohio?
The world, as I knew it, has been turned on its head.
CNN and MSNBC called it the same.
Glad my state woke up and voted right.
And one of the most obnoxious unkind conservative right winger neocon posters on this site was planning on watching Faux News and eating her McCain cake.
Guess she can't have her cake and eat it too.
WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!

Ali, I feel like dancing. I got courageous and bought a $14 bottle of bubbly just for myself and I'm so exicited I can hardly stand it.
I'm sitting here in front of my computer watching MSNBC news (only channel that works in Korea online) about to cry because I'm so excited!!
I wish I didn't have to go to work in 40 minutes!!
Ali, go share your joy with your students. Tell them you were part of a peaceful process of changing leadership. Hell, just jump up and down and shout for joy and invite your students to join you.
I've heard the most ugly unrealistic claims from my family who LOVE fox news. But the problem is you can't just get your news from one source and then be totally bind to EVERYTHING ELSE?!
I'm really hopeful. I think OBama will bring really good thing that Mc Cain really couldn't bring to the office. Seriously I think the world will see use as a bit more progressive by the world stage after SO many years of Bush in office.

The folks from Fixed News are in shock and so is their loyal audience. Beware - they are still out there ready to keep on screaming that Obama isn't a citizen, is a closet muslim, and pals around with terrorists. It's like an annoying fly buzzing around. I'm going to need to avoid a neighbor who really does believe that Faux News is "fair and balanced" and that Sarah Palin should be cannonized. The poor old guy is risking a stroke today.

My upper-level English students kept talking about it today. "Teacher, are you happy? Obama wins!" It was so cute.
Amy, I love your avatar!!!
For the first time, I wanted to watch faux news and did, inbetween actual news channel flipping. After it was called for Obama, faux news focused o the congressional races.
It was as if they coudnt bring themselves to acknowledge what every other news station was doing - addressing the absolute level of rejoicing that is occuring. Not plain old, "Yay, our candidate won" but people being ecstatic at levels at levels not associated with winning presidential elections.
This was strange because this is live coverage and all the senator stats were displaying at the bottom of news channels but that was their focus.
I went right to them after Obama's speech and they finally started sounding positive - not in him as pending president but acknowledging some of his good points and finally addressing what was going on live with voter reactions.
Also, didnt catch his name but the main newscaster on faux news (looked like the deceased Tony Snow) had a snarl on his face - I hope some of it made youtube. He was so obviously disgruntled, it was alarming.

We saw the snarl too. We switched to Faux News about 10 minutes after it was called for obama (interestingly, we WERE going to watch MSNBC but found the coverage honestly done better on CNN so stuck with that.)
