Freaky Calorie Foods
Since I am now aware of what I should be eating in a day, I've been curious as to how many calories junk food has. Woah! I can't believe how NASTY some of this stuff is.
The other day, I walked into a depanneur (convenience store) and saw a honey cream twist doughnut thing. Sounds good right? Well it was a whopping 750 calories! I almost laughed out loud.
Have you noticed any packaged foods that have an absurd amount of calories? If so, what was it?

I ate a bag of Kettle Cooked Salt & Vinegar chips..I ate the whole bag, it didn't seem like that much...but it was 1200 calories!! I wasn't even extremely full!
Something I never eat, even before being here. They are little sausages rolled in phylli paste!!! Nasty!
Yes the junk food is surprising!! What was more surprising to me is the calories in bread. For example a small burger gets 1/2 it's calories from the bun!!
TWO dulce de leche oreos have 140 cal =(. i brought a box to work cuz i wanted to try them and i figured i'd be able to get rid of them all here (as opposed to having them laying around at home). waiting til this afternoon, but DAMN, that's gonna wreck me somewhat. unless i eat just one....(yeah, right...)
I couldn't believe that a small hot smoothie from tim hortins has 260 kcal! Plus a whopping 9 grams of saturated fat!
Did no one really ever look at the nutrional value of things before? I have been doing it since I was little. I just thought that everyone did this. That is what is crazy to me.
mostly i've noticed the otis spunkmeyer cookies, one cookie, is 360 calories. that bugs me. cuz the package says 180 calories....but for 1/2 a cookie. thats stupid and mean and evil. STUPID OTIS SPUNKMEYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always read nutritional values as a pre-teen and teenager. The difference from reading it then and reading it now is that now I understand it, while then I didn't.
Well this isn?t packaged food but it used to be my favorite thing to eat at Rubios Baha Grill. I just loved it, Nachos. How bad could it be, when I looked it up on CC I almost fainted how can one dish have this many calories this has to be record braking. Check it out

Not a packaged food, but I looked up this brownie ice cream dessert thing I had eyed at my favourite restaurant (but decided to look it up before trying it ... though I assumed it was at least 600 cal and outta my range) ... it was 1456 calories! thats more than my entire days worth of calories in a little tiny brownie with ice cream on top!
holy shit, i did it. i only had ONE of those Dulce de Leche oreos. i just wanted to try one. and then rest of my crew gobbled the rest of them. but i didn't even want another one. although it probably didn't help that they weren't all that yummy. kinda like oreos w/ butterscotch pudding flavor in between. if it had been brownies or something, it woulda been a different story. but whatever!
I think one of the killers for me was Smirnoff Ice. I used to drink 6-8 of them at a time. They have like 215 calories in each! Good lord, the one night I drank 10 of them! That's more than I eat in a day now. Ugh!
Only 1 oreo? Wouldn't be hard for me. I've never been a big oreo fan. Maybe the Uh Oh oreos (vanilla cookie, chocolate cream) would give me a hard time...
Now pecan sandies....mmmmmmm.

Just old fashioned biscuits and sausage at an old timey restaurant. What an eye opener for me. It's like a coronary on a plate.

oh I've got one... Dessert Ravioli at Romano's Macaroni Grill
It's the best - melty chocolate inside a pastry 'ravioli' topped with vanilla ice cream and carmel sauce. On the up side, it has 3 g of fiber. HAH. This is a good one to share 4 ways though - it's big :-)
