I don't know of any magazines that are free, but you could either go to the library and check them out or go to the websites.  Women's Health is a great magazine and has a lot of their info online.
Shape has an online magazine as well as Prevention.  What are you looking for exactly ??  I mean are you looking for workout routines,  recipes, advice on getting started Also might try GQ or men's health since your screen name suggests you are male
Check out http://exercise.about.com and http://www.about.com/health/ depending on your needs.

Personal favourite: T-nation.com - bodybuilding.com is also pretty decent.

In my personal opinion, Shape, Prevention, Muscle&Fitness, Flex, Oxygen and in fact most of the so-called health and fitness magazines for both men and women are best used for bird cage liner.

Shape's been getting better lately, but the Pink Dumbbell Myth they've helped perpetuate for years is hard to forgive; it's helped rob you of your potential and cut you off from exploring what you're capable of.

Right On!!!  I hate seeing ladies in the weight training class standing around doing 3 -5 lb bicep curls for an hour every time they work out -- there is one lady who does the squat rack but she's never added any weight to the darn thing in the 2 years I've been going. You know these people also look exactly the same -- haven't lost any inches or look any firmer or toned.  Not to brag but I get comments all the time from the regulars asking how much weight I've lost when I tell them I've actually gained they say well its gotta be all muscle cause you look great-- I do weights just like men -- high lb and as many reps I can til the point of exhaustion and increase weights when it gets too easy.  I am in no way "butch" or bulky but the extra weight I carry around looks better.  I want nothing more than to lose weight but as long as I can fit into my size 10's I am ok

Oh, it's not bragging - you've worked hard for your results; of course you should share!

How else would you inspire people to follow your example and start to find out just how capable you really are? Isn't it exhilarating to find out just how much you can do when you shake off the old Shape myths holding you back from developing your potential?

Of course you should share - women in general should train like you!
SparkPeople has a lot of great info on their website and you can get daily emails on different topics.  I have those and it's great to open my inbox & see some great information!
