Free Day

Quote  |  Reply
I eat healthy 95% of the time but today I allowed myself a "free day" where I pretty much just ate what I wanted. I had 2 krispy kreme donuts, bagel chips and tamales. I know it doesn't sound that out there, but most of the time I eat very wholesome, organic foods. I was just wondering if anyone else does this from time to time? If not, I found it kind of fun and enjoyable.

I kind of took one today.  I know that next week is Easter but I haven't had one in sooooooo long.

I made Stromboli* and had bigger drinks then normal.  I'm still 200 plus under expenditure so not bad.

*Sorry I've been bragging about this, it turned out GREAT!
Oh I was worse than both of you guys....

I started out allright with wheat fiber toast for breakfast

Then I went to the doctor who told me I have a thyroid problem...I suppose this set me off

Lunch was a half a ham and cheese on wheat, a bowl of clam chowder and still cant believe it but a slice of boysenberry pie with some half and half on top.....wont do that again now that I know its 800 and something calories

Dinner Armenian roasted chicken ( delicious ) hummus, 2 pitas and a 100 grand candy bar to finish it off

On the bright side I just went to Trader Joes and stocked up on all kinds of healthy snacks and foods.....so I will make up for today tomorrow
I had a free day yesterday. I've noticed a change in my attitude towards food (after loosing weight for a year) I still made good, healthy, nutritional meals, but I ate alot more chocolate than on normal diet days. It's my biggest weakness. However, I noticed that I now automatically stop eating when I'm not hungry anymore (I used to eat untill I was absolutely stuffed), so I've managed to make my body used to portion control. Don't need to think about it to do it! Yay!
I looooooooooooove my free day! I tell myself that it keeps my body guessing :-)

I think that there is nothing wrong with having a free day once a week. If not I would have gone off the deep end by now.

I also notice that my attitude about food is has changed. I let myself eat what I want but I can't even get to the point where I was before.

Even on my free days I avoid certain foods just because I can't see myself eating them anymore.
