Frequent Urination

Quote  |  Reply

A few months ago, in November, I started having stomach problems (most likely an overproduction of stomach acid), and frequent urination. I got tested for everything, and nothing was out of the norm. I contracted an umbilical hernia after two weeks of the stomach problems. I went to a gastroenterologist about the stomach stuff who gave me a stomach acid reducer. Slowly, as my stomach started feeling better, the urination got much better. After about a week on the stomach medicine, I got my hernia repaired. My urination quickly got much better after that, and slowly, I went back to normal, and have been feeling pretty normal for the past few weeks (probably since March-ish).

In March, I went to the Gynocologist, because I also haven't been getting my period, I went to a nutritionist, all of that, and the gynocoligist thinks that it was a mix of going on adn off the birth control pill, losing weight, not eating enough for the weight loss, etc. She tested me for any infections and found that I had bacterial vaginosis. My urination had already gotten better, but after being given oral antibiotics and a vaginal antibiotic cream, the urination continued to get better.

Now, out of nowhere, (I've been trying to manage my diet and eat enough calories in a day), the urination started again! This time no stomach problems...but still..it's driving me crazy and makes me feel stupid for ever believing it was gone.

I don't know what to do--it's not a urinary tract infection, I have no idea if I irritated my urethra (I had more of a libido, and thought I may have been on the way to ovulating). I tihnk I've also lost some weight. It's really just frequent urges to urinate, not really a huge amount in the toilet.

If anyone can help me please, I want to feel better...I've been through so much already with this, I just can't believe it's back.

It might be psychological, it might be hormonal (change in hormones), it might be from irritating my vaginal area, thought I don't know why it'd occur out of the blue again (I was wearing tighter pants the day it started again, but nothing out of the ordinary). Maybe I had been straining too much when going to the bathroom or when peeing (I remember doing that a few times). I don't know. It could even be a hernia again that I can't feel because the original one was stitched up?

I feel awful for being like this, I really was just coming to terms with things.
