Fresh Apple Cider Question
I just got a couple of gallons of fresh pressed cider, and I'm wondering how well it fits into clean eating. Zero fat, 30 carbs (all sugar) zero protein. But pressed from local apples last night. Nothing added, and no pasteurization.
Also, would I want to count the liquid towards my daily water?
thanks

I can't help you out, but I too would LOVE to know this.
I bought some apple cider from our local farmers market....fresh as well.
Not sure if mine is pasturized thou....
I know apple cider has lotf of sugars (b.c its from apples - and apples have lots of sugars, albiet natural sugars!)....
So how many calories per 8 oz?
I am guessing there is zero fiber...since there is no real apple in it (other than the apple juice). the fiber is in the corse part....fiberish part, and there is none of that in apple cider...it would be weird if there was thou.....chunky apple cider? not too sure about that - haha

Mine says 130 cals to 8oz. But I would think that is just an in general thing. the label on mine says 30 grams carbs, and each and everyone is sugar. But the natural suger like you said. Nature's soda, but a lot less toxic than that other stuff.
Enjoy yours, I know we'll enjoy ours! ![]()

Bump
Love cider.
We used to let the cider sit at room temp. uncapped for a couple of days until it got a 'bite' to it. "Hard" cider, with powdered sugar donuts was a Fall treat. (can only be accomplished with fresh cider, not pasturized).
Also, hot cider in cold weather is wonderful.
