fresh made cookies on one hand, coke on the other
I was sittin on the couch today watching t.v, i had just made some fresh cookies and poured myself some coke, and felt like i was on top of the world, lol.
when i was finished it hit me, how much weight i was gaining and not really caring. I am 5'7 now up to 170 lbs from my regular 140, yes ppl thats 30 pounds in 6 months.
horrible yes i know,
so i said to myself enough of this, cant take this s*** anymore and got out my South beach diet book and went straight to phase one. I made a list of all the healthy foods that i needed and went to the grocery store. That felt good, it felt like a was make a stand against my own bad habbit.
This monday im staring the south beach diet phase one and after that im just gonna watch my calories and eat like a normal person.
sooo plz for my sake leave some encouraging words here, trust me they are greatly needed
I need to go back to at least 135 by the first week of july since im going back home to europe where they like their women with no extra meat on their bones..lol...(actually not funny, but I, myself just want to be happy)
Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this!
Congrats for everything you've already done! It's a great start! Deciding that you're going to do it is half the battle. ^^ Remember to have a cookie (one) every once in a while too!
Good luck. ^^
Great start!
Even losing one or two pounds a week is great.
thanks 4 the wordss mwa
I am in the same boat, but instead of realizing I needed to do something at 30lbs over my normal weight I was in serious denial. I now need to lose 50 lbs to reach my goal range of 40lbs :( When I signed up on here a few days ago I didnt even have a working scale, but today I went and got a food and weight scale and well found out I was actually 8 pounds heavier then I was. So, good for you for getting on here and getting it together :) and good for me for no more denial :)
I know how you feel...Yes - cookies and coke?? Definitely the top of the world!!! I love that you have got a plan and are determined to get the weight off and maintain it - I agree with "feanor" --to have ONE cookie every once is a while!
If you're ever feeling discouraged - well remember - we're here!!
Take care and good luck!!
