Hi ya'll! I know it's Monday, but I thought maybe somebody might be interested in a Friday weigh in club.  I have lost 60 pounds and have another 30 to go. I usually weigh every day, twice a day actually. Since I am losing slower now and I tend to eat out on the week end and have water gain on Monday, I thought maybe just once a week on Friday would be better. What do you guys think?  I started at 245, weigh 184.5 and am going for 155. Take care, linda

I think I'll jump on the Friday Bandwagon.  My high was 200.  I think it was called depression and I just wanted to see if I could get there.  Well...I did.  :(

I came to CC on August 3rd after a doc appointment where I weighed 191 and she told me to lose 40 pounds.  Nothing gentle about it.  "You need to lose weight".  The idea is to see if it helps reduce my blood pressure.  MY 53 year old heart is working too hard.

So in August with the "no excuses challenge" where we weighted in on Fridays, I'm down nine pounds to 182.  Only about 40 pounds to go.  The doc was being kind, afterall.  LOL  I have another doc appointment September 13th and will hopefully be down below the 180 mark.  No, I WILL be below the 180 mark.

Fatdoc, I've not met you but I sure am proud of your tenacity. The photos are VERY motivating.  What a difference!!  I look my actual total of 18 pounds lost as losing a Thanksgiving Turkey.  That's about 18 pounds!

Kathypk, I too went to the Doctors and was told rather harshly i had to lose weight, infact the woman was down right rude. I accept i've put on weight but the comments she made were completely unnessisary. She made me feel like i had 200 pounds to lose, when in reality to get to a healthy bmi i need to lose 17 pounds.
HI all! I totally disappeared for a while- a lot of personal drama! I weighed in last on aug 3 at 144.5 (started at 147) and I am at 139 today.  a bit higher than last friday (138) but still great!

Congrats to all of you who are doing soooo awesome!

Lifeizsweet- I had the same experience a few years ago (almost), after I lost 25lb I went to the doctor and he told me I was still too overweight and needed to lose 20 more---- keep in mind that I was 137 then so a totallyhealthy BMI!  I probably would have kept losing, but I felt so unmotivated- after all that hard work to be written off and told you are still too big....sigh. Now I am back on the loosing track! Keep up the hard work!
Hi, After several weeks of intense weight loss, today I was down only 0.2 lbs. That makes 101 lbs total as of now. I am pretty happy.
101 is fabulous!

I'm in.  I have a very long ways to go.  I'm at 305.
Excuse me while I dance on the ceiling....

137.5! I am .5 away from a 10lb weight loss!

I am 169 lbs today and below a 30 bmi. 105 lbs down!!!! YEAH
I'm out of town again and not near my scale so couldn't weigh myself but I did before I left and was down another 4 to 178 or 22 from my all time high.  Only about 40 to go...

A bunch of us are visinting friends in Wisconsin (sort of a same time, next year thing) so this weekend is full of German food but I ate far more kraut than German Potato Salad, pork or pickled herring so I should be OK when I return back south on Wednesday.

I know this is not Friday.... Its a day early...  I hop on that scale every Friday..& Monday (the days I work out with a trainer) Last Friday I was 131 lbs.  I was so happy it was great... Monday came around and I gained 4 lbs.  That sucks..  So I have stuck with the good eating habbits  this week. I hope that I am back down to 131.  Tomorrow I get to stand on that scale. Please everyone one have happy thoughts tomorrow (around 10:30Am PST) for me.  I need some happy news.  Thanks for listening to me..  Tomorrow I will post in.  TaTa!!

Well, I thought this was perfect timing but I guess since I'm on the East Coast and it's 10:30 you're probably still sleeping and having pleasant dreams of being 4 pounds lighter.

My 178 of last week was a "fluke" or perhaps I ate too much pork and German Potato Salad while in Wisconsin and Iowa.

Today:  Friday 9/14: 181.  :(

yay me, I am at 136.5 today...after a crazy amount of fluctuating this week... regardless it is 1lb less than last week! Yay! In 1.5 lbs, I'll be at my lowest weight in recorded history...

AHA thanks everyone.... Today I weighed in and Good news and Bad news... 

Bad news:  I am not as light as I wanted to be I wanted to be at 131...

Good news: I didn't gain... 

I am down to 132...

 

I am happy I just have to stay with it this weekend........

Where is everyone??
LOL, I was up to 140 last friday....up 3.5 from the friday before. Which could have been anything, but i have consistently been at 140 for over 7 days. sigh. I think it is time to rethink my strategy!
I'm thinking I need to do some rethinking too.  The 1st 20 came off pretty quickly but noting seems to be happening now.  We'll see what tomorrow (Friday) brings.
