Friday weigh ins?

I'm starting off where I first began at 61.8 kg over a year ago - will weigh in on Friday and state my goal.

Anyone to join? Should we go what we usually do?

I am sooooo up for another go at it!!  I am at the highest I can ever remember, so I really need to push it this time.  Here at work there are 2 other ladies that want to lose weight so we are going to try a competition, I hope it motivates me!

Smader - this is so strange, I'm also at my highest ever (of course not counting my pregnancy ;-)), and I weighed in two days ago, and gained weight instead of loosing for today's weigh in, but TOM is approaching, so that probably has something to do with it...

Sounds great that you have someone to motivate you - I'm trying to get my mom to join me...we'll see if I succeed

 

Snehvide: week 1: 137.6, gw: 123.5 (-I want to reach this weight by dec. 1st.)

Smader: week 1: 146.5,  gw=125

We must be living parallel lives!  I don't even want to get on the scale.  When I got back from my trip to italy i was at my highest weight, 144.  I got sara's email this morning so I'll get my official weigh in tomorrow. 

I haven't logged my calories in months!  Glad to be back!!!!

hahaha, yes i guess we must be ;-) like those people who start to look like their dogs over the years :-D At least you had a great time in italy, so it's worth it, i hope

Can't wait to see some results on friday (i'm keeping my fingers crossed and my mouth closed 'til then)

Hasta: wk 1: 145.6,  gw=135, ulitimate 125.(Sister's wedding is 11/7 and I'm in the wedding party!!! Got to-get-to-gettin'!   :P

So far so good for me this week.  I did pretty good over the weekend, only one beer on Sunday but that was after a very long bike ride.  Now I just have to keep it up this week.  Then this weekend will be tougher, we will be camping.  I am just hoping to say no to the snacks and stay active and I should be good!

Heck, if you're just going to have 1 beer...what's the point!  :) 

Great going on the weekend.  Keep it up.  Stay in the present and deal with the upcoming weekend when it arrives.

that's really good advice, Linda - I got my mom onboard as well, and she's progressing fast. She used to be a major snacker and has now stopped altogether and in the course of a week lost what amounts to 1.5 lbs - of course a lot is due to water since her snacking consisted mostly of salty things, like chips and salty seeds - She's also running up and down her stairs ten times a day, and just watching her take control of her weight again actually motivates me -  i haven't dared go on the scales yet and am waiting for friday...although we're having a big family barbeque today :-( will have to watch my portions!!! but as you said, Linda, stay in the present... that way my awareness is also sharpened...

Hi all,

It is Friday and doing well.  I am at 146. So not really down but not up so that is good.  Now I just need to keep being good over the weekend and work out a bunch next week!

I checked in at 145.6.  no movement, but i expected it.  made small adjustments and plan to stay with them and improve on them next week.  I'm ok with it.  Keep the heat on ladies!

Well I was up this week, as I expected.  I am at 148.  But this weekend I swear I am going to do better.  It also doesn't help that last night I went out to celebrate a friend's birthday.  I didn't drink, so that is good.  I think I am bloated from all the salt, they have free baskets of popcorn and peanuts in the shell at this bar.  I resisted for sooo long, then a basket of warm popcorn was brought out.....  Then I was out to late and getting hungry so I ate some peanuts...... Lots and lots of salt.  Ohwell I will avoid salt the next few days and I should be ok  :)

I was up too.  146.6.  I'm headed toward my monthly visitor early next week, so I'm hoping that's why.  I was a little better this past wk about excercise, but I surely could have done more.  I had 2 days where I exceeded my calories by what I'd consider a significant amt. 

What's bugging me is that my company is taking "executive" photos (oooooo) next week for the first time after 14 yrs and yes, they choose the year and month when I'm at my all time high on weight.  Noooo they couldn't have done this when I was at 116!!! arrrrrgggggg. 

well there's still my sister's wedding to shoot for in November.

Ladies, Sorry I didn't check in on friday, but was on my way back from jerusalem. therefore the late chek in: I'm in at 132.1 - so quite a bit from last week, but also am done with TOM and stopped eating bread the last week there as I was turning into a bun myself :-)

Linda, I can only imagine how you're feeling, but if I'm any judge on the photos of you, you look wonderful.

Sara, salt is the enemy, but damn can it be good, especially on those long nights when hunger sets in and the partying is good - I say, just remember that you didn't start off eating them... I would actually be pretty proud if I were you :-)

Nice work C!  I like the new pic as well.  I should change mine up a bit.  I will have to do that at home though (at work now) 

It sounds like we all have event goals we are working towards, here's to hitting goals or close by then!

I'm unfortunately not sticking to it - am weighing in at 134... for some reason I always find it difficult to stick with something when I move from one place to another.. coming back from Jerusalem has just left me tired and uninspired - Do you guys have that happen to  you as well?

will aim for motivation next week :-)
