I've read a lot of posts that people take inspiration from, many people say "I like that idea, I think ill put it on my fridge"

So my question is.. What do you have stuck on your fridge?

Personally, I have a load of magnets! But a friend of mine had a link of paperclips. There were 20 paperclips for the 20lbs she wanted to lose, and everytime she lost a lb, she removed a paperclip from the chain. - nice idea!

That's a neat idea. I have nothing on my fridge, but I think I may try something similar. Maybe I'll post pics of my progress.

As it is, our fridge has my sister's spelling tests and grocery lists. If I didn't live with my parents, though, I'd probably have a (relatively recent) picture of myself and a picture of a Victoria's Secret model or something to remind myself what I'm working for. :D

Well. I used to have photos of skinny people and lists of "good" foods along with a piece of paper with the number 1200 on it. That kind of fueled unhealthy thinking habits, so now I've got lots of positive quotes and so forth.

My menu for the week.  Saves a lot of time wondering what to cook... :-)
I have a whiteboard with what I have ready to eat listed (stuff I've cooked or chopped up for lunches and all that) and a list of mostly produce that's waiting for me to use it up. I use this to figure out what to bring to work to eat during the day, and to figure out what I should cook or what I will need to buy to make more meals. I think a nice rhubarb/strawberry/apple bake sounds good for a treat tonight!

Right when I started actively losing weight and exercising, I got a fortune cookie that said, 'Eat your fruits and vegetables to ensure a healthy life and mind.' I thought it was pretty funny with the timing. I was at my parents house, and my mom was giving me a container of multi vitamins to start taking and she taped the fortune onto the lid!

I left it on there, so its not on my fridge, but I still see it every day and it makes me smile knowing that my parents are supportive and this is all to be healthier inside and out.. not just to look good.

Throughout my weight loss, I never put anything on the fridge. Never thought of it, to be honest. After the weight loss, and in maintenance mode, I stuck a picture of myself up on the fridge -- a recent picture after losing all the weight. Then, when I got engaged and bought my wedding dress, I stuck a picture of a wedding dress (not mine, of course! can't let the fiance see it!) above my computer (this is where a lot of the snacking occurs) to remind myself that I want to keep in shape and look damn good for my wedding... and that I have a wedding dress sitting at my parents house that I'll still need to fit into! Hah...

On another note... a couple gals at my work found out I used to be 40 lbs. heavier, and so asked for help and advice. I then showed them a picture of myself and my parents (they've both lost 60-70 lbs also) before and after... one of them took the picture and stuck it on HER fridge for motivation.

i really like the paperclip idea...however... i want to lose atleast another 60 pounds lol  wonder how 60 paper clips would look lol

This is in my kitchen - not on the frig, but I put 2 empty clear glass bottles on my kitchen windowsill. In one I loaded 45 colored marbles; each time I lose a pound I move it from the "fat" bottle, to the "thin" one as a visual reminder of what I've accomplished. Oh yeah, the "thin" bottle was from Orange Crush soda, so it says "crush" on it which is what I'm doing to this extra weight. Just crushing it.

justamom, I *love* that marbles idea!! I might have to steal that one for myself :D

marbles are so pretty. Plus, I have a glass bowl thats filled with M&Ms for decoration (they are about 7 months old now, but still looking good!) but damn, some diet days.. they just look so tempting!! So I really should get rid of them before I end up eating sweaty M&Ms.

Now..  where to find 69 marbles!

I don't have anything on the fridge because it's not magnetic.  Now that I think about it, I don't have anything motivation related anywhere.

(but I do havea drawer full of magnets and things that were posted on my last normal fridge!)

weeks menu (when I remember to do it), kids' school lunch menu, grocery list

I like the paperclip and marble ideas.  I may have to steal one of those.

A magnet that is about 6 inches square.  It says Fat Chicks in black and it has a red cirlce with a line through, just like a no smoking sign.  NO Fat Chicks!

You know, I just read through all these posts feeling puzzled, because why the fridge?  And then I realized that it's a place people go to for easy food, and can be a detriment to healthy eating.  My fridge is filled with raw veggies for the most part, so I don't generally think of it as my bad snacking place :P

My cupboards, on the other hand, are metal too.  Mayhaps the paperclips on the pantry cupboard would be really neat :)  Double-strings, one for hubby and one for me :)

I often make out meal plans and put them on my fridge. Right at eye level where I think I will notice it when I open the fridge. But I never do because there are so many magnets and things my kids have made or drawn. Just to many things to notice one particular thing. On the Side its full of schedules. Husbands work schedule....soccer schedule....and so forth. And on the other side? Recipes I clip out of better homes and gardens magazines! Some are Entree recipes but most of them are really decedent cakes and cookies! Not good, lol.

I LOVE the marble idea! I'm going to do that too!

i have a picture of a guy with his throat cut out from smoking...so id quit. i put it up 4 months before i really did stop lol.

so, i have nothing on my fridge except that and takeout magnents from pizza places =/  what keeps me motivated is my journal i guess.
Not exactly weight-related, but I have a magnet that says "Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present!"  I guess it just motivates me to be the best that I can and make each choice count... especially when I'm opening my fridge!

Nothing weight related.  It's all my son's artwork and some photos of my kids.
