  • I have 2 little boys
  • Sorta in the middle of becoming separated from my husband who I've been with for the last 11 years

I am looking at getting into those 160's once and for all by the end of July.  It's a huge challenge for me as this past year hasn't been the best for weight loss.  I've been stuck, then I went up in weight by 10 lbs, and now I am going back down steadily, and hope to continue to do so...

Please feel free to "friend" me, I love CC and all my awesome friends here and can't wait until we all hit our goals & meet up someday!
I'd be totally lost without CC in my life!!!  I also love Erik & Igor for coming up with this site, they are my heros!!!!

Happy Friday All!

  • Age: 49
  • ht: 5' 5"
  • cw: 136.4 (over 140 recently)
  • gw: 125
  • married 2 years
  • kids: 2 of mine and 4 of hubby's, let's see 25, 23, 21, 21, 17, 15. The 23 yr old, one of the 21s, & 17 yr old live with us.
  • Job: biology lab tech at a small liberal arts college (I'm the token conservative. lol)

I used to float around in the upper 140s and got down to 125 about 3 years ago. Lost about half of it the right way and half the wrong way. Since then I remarried, got cozy and 10 pounds or so have snuck back on. The weight graph on my profile says it all. I've been fooling around trying to lose ~10 pounds for over a year. I get close, and then up I go again. The scary part is that I haven't ignored my diet and exercise, I've just watched and logged as it crept up again. I'd like to end this pain once and for all! I believe I can.

you can!

we all can!  ( ;

gasp -- you are conservative?

lol! I'm a presbyterian preacher's wife! What'd ya expect??? :P

  • I was once at 128- I had lost weight to 132 visiting my mom's family and then had oral surgery and dropped even lower- and still tried to lose weight (dumb ??) People told me I looked like a crack head- not nice... but then one day started emotionally eating (or was it starved eating??) and really haven't stopped. Here to make a change once and for all!!

just kidding, chris --  didn;t remember the preacher's wife thing though!   you can be my Alex P. Keaton any time!

we all have those times, thin!  I still do.....   I know I look better now than a year ago and for sure 2 years ago, but I still have those days.....

    here's to helping each other!!

I just came in from laying out.  I had forgotten how relaxing that is.... finished my book too.  all in all, a good day!

    wow i missed alot today.

Olivia I think most gyms will give a trial membership.

I just bought a bunny. so cute and fluffy. I had a bunny when I was a kid. I know my kids will love him. I'll wait till Sunday when they come home to name him.

    Happy Friday ladies!

I have been trying to lose weight since forever. I started working out last year but gave out during holiday seasons. My blood pressure has been creeping up on me to a dangerous level, so I decided enough is enough. Restarted the workout along with following the dash diet program in the middle of June and has since lost approximately 8 lbs. I am hoping I would be able to keep it up this time. I want to be there for my family.

OOPS it was Friday...lol ( I work nights ..geez)

Hi effy/lkahead and welcome back zena =P lol --I thought you were just holding out on us.   ( :   EDIT: and LMAO -- "intimate recreation"  <-- I am stealing that euphemism!!!

I had a successful, non-snacking night at home and at the bowling alley, I woke up early today, jogged and rode the bicycle.  Debating on coffee or green tea while I sit here.....

Note the challenge above --  one post here over the weekend and 30 minutes of physcial acitivty both days!   we can do it!

I am going with my mom and her friend to see her friend's son for his bday.  He was one of my childhood friends -- one of the very few I still see. I think the last time he saw me was sister's wedding when I was 220.   This morning the scale gave me a new number --165!!!!!   (I hope he notices.....)

Olivia- congrats on the new number...I am up again awaiting the monthly visitor (Joy joy)

Since I work weekends and usually walk 10 hours of the 12.5 I work I think I should qualify but it sure isn't cardio

I feel swollen up all over and have sore feet. On that note I am off to bed (gotta work tonight. Hugs all and GL!

swollen feet SUCK  ---  going back to school in the fall always reminds me of such!

It should count, all that walking....  any way you could do wall pushups, desk squats, etc and get your acitivity in WHILE working?

) :   mom just called.  I guess they are going to spend the night in SPringfield and since I can;t do that, I am not going to go.   ) :

    Hey ladies

Olivia-WOO!!165!! New numbers are great. Sorry you don't get to go

Zena-I hope when you wake up your feet aren't sore and you aren't swollen

I didn't do 30minutes yesterday. But I worked my a$$ off at work. OH WAIT I did get 30 minutes- It was 15 minute fast walk to the pub where I met my friend for drinks-and 15 minutes fast walk home. Hehe. That counts if you take out the drinks in the middleWink

    Hey everyone,

I just got back from work.  I didn't even ride any horses today so I can't use that for something physical (even though it's not really that physical anyway).  Hmm...well I'm going to pick up my car in a little while, and then I was planning on cleaning a little.  Would cleaning count?  Maybe if I turn on some music and dance around a lot while I'm doing it, lol :).  I should go for a run, but it's sooo hot outside...maybe I'll go later when (if) it cools off.  Why can't there be a place where it's 70 and sunny all year round?

    Hope everyone's having a good weekend!! :)

I say vigorous cleaning counts -- especially if you boogy/ie(?) to the music!!!

I look like a FOOL jamming out to old faves like early, early Michael Jackson, Footloose, etc 80 and 90's music while I ride the bike so I can't hear my knees cracking!!!!!

    get your move on, ladies!!!!

Well it's pouring here now, so maybe if it stops later it will be nice weather for a run! :)
