Hello all!!

A big shout out to my girls from the "Lose 10 lbs by date, 2008" post.   ( :    Since starting that post, I am down almost 18 lbs.  

People asked about a new post.  Here it is!

I want to be a loser!! Care if I join?

Way to go KIM! Note to self--it CAN be done!!! As Bob is my witless, I WILL weigh less than 130! BEFORE Thanksgiving! (even if it's only for a couple of hours Embarassed)

And a couple hours it is.....132.1 this morningEmbarassed.  I did have a lazy weekend and I did munch but I do not think I went over my calories.  Now Friday is a different story...pizza, beer, peanuts, chips and salsa.  I feel more bloated today than I did on Saturday and Sunday.

Kim, at least you've seen the numbers. They'll come back, I have no doubt. You do so well, it really does inspire me to keep trying.

thanks for the welcome! My goals are to make goals :) the plan is to work on that tonight and post it in my journal....

My big goal is to lose at least  neg 12 pounds, which sounds so easy, but I don't follow the rules for weight loss all the time :) Hence the need to get the goals on paper.

Primarily, I want to be healthy!!!

getting fit and healthy was my reason for getting started here too.   ( :  

I'd love to see specifics.  I think you're gorgeous, so it's probably a matter of small changes, and that 12 lbs will be history!!!!!

I got to do free laundry and have dinner with friends last night, but I also had a few drinks.  Proud though  --- I kept it in check and woke up clear again.   WOO HOO  and made myself jog in the freezing cold, so I must be doing ok. 

seems like the best place to get to the goals- everybody seems so on top of it- I couldn't resist :)

I don't know if you are referring to the picture- I wish that was me :) that is who I am named after :) but we are all gorgeous on the inside, or so I tell myself lol....

It is great that you have good friends who would let you do laundry and feed you!!

I had a wonderful dinner last night- pumpkin risotto at this new to me restaurant- YUM!! I need to figure out how to make it... needless to say I pretty much licked my plate clean- oink oink but worth it :) I had some wine with friends- it was a double celebration excuse, but well, it was in good company so I don't feel bad about it- only tired because I was up way past my bed time :(

Good job on the jogging! I have a hard time getting out of bed anyways- forget about it when it is cold....

Puppykisses- sounds like you have the salt monster :) don't worry- you can flush that right out! I wish I was anywhere close to 132!!!

Weigh ins still Friday.   Hoping to see a massive drop since for some reason this AM, I was all the way up to 159, from a low last week of 153, yesterday Am 154,.6.  COME ON.......  =P

Isn't it frustrating how weight can go a little loopy and shoot up for what seems like no good reason- I think it is our body just trying to keep in check :)

I didn't get to writing out my goals last night, but I will today- no excuses :)

I'm up from yesterday too. maybe its just in the air. I was all set to run this morning but I can't find my sports bra anywhere! If I ran with a regular bra...OUCH!!

Gotta go look more. I WANT TO RUN!!

 

nutellabella, hope you can come up with some great goals. Unlike me, remember to do them! LOL.

immom, can't empathize --practically boobless here-- I just wear a sports bra to get in the mood. LOL. No real need. Now if I'd actually get up and do some running...the cold mornings are not working out for me. I just hide in the covers. I should go to bed in sweats so it's not such a struggle but I know DH would object.

I went to Ask the Dietitian site yesterday looking for info for my SS.

It has a pretty good calculator that gives a complete breakdown of your nutritional requirements as well as a calorie goal. With my usual walking & daily routine but no C25K, it said I'd lose a whooping .7 lbs a week if I eat 1200 calories a day. That explains a lot since I've been averaging closer to 1350 with your odd 1500+ day mixed in. (Yesterday was one of those. Frown) No wonder I sit here staring at 134.x every day! I had one of those 'you're healthy, does it really matter' talks with myself this morning. I looked in the mirror, thought about how I felt when I was smaller and decided the answer is Hell, yeah!

SO, between now and Thanksgiving I'm going to try my darnest to average 1200 even/day. I'm doing well on the protein & fiber (although the protein will be a little trickier at 1200), water was good yesterday but I gotta hit the treadmill. Like it or not. If I do that, I SHOULD be averaging 130 by then.

I mean it, bella.   :)   Expecting goals today!   =P

LOL, sarah --   I would DIE if I ran in a regular bra.  I have very little left up top with the 80+ gone, but still.  All my bras are a little too big, even the ones I bought lost month!!!   ):   a good jog bra is my best friend.    Hope you find it!

I joined a number tracking post for a math girl who wants to get started by losing 10.  She said she'll do the math for us, if need be, thank goodness.   It is keep me more accountable ALREADY>   woo

 

OK- if I don't have them posted in my journal tomorrow by 9am central time, then come after me throwing flames :)

chris- I am hoping to remember to make the goals, doing them is a whole other story- lol- seriously I WILL do them :)

and i am in the small chest category, but I still don't like the feeling of running in a normal bra- maybe I need to work on my running style and not bounce so much-lol..... sad thing is my chest is the first part to go and last to come on, but that doesn't matter because this time there will be nothing else coming on again :)

I have been a bundle of nerves worrying about my daughter (for those that do not know she is going to have a baby very soon.  She will turn 18 Nov 6 and the baby is due Nov 5.  She is a senior in highschool but will be able to graduate this semester).  Yesterday for dinner I felt like a smoothy so I put banana, part of a yellow sqaush, carrots, milk and ice plus a scoop of protein mix.  It was really good. I just tasted the banana but I was not really liking the texture.  I finished it and I was content for the rest of the night.  I am going to try it again but with frozen veges.  I also ate some leftover venison steak...yum. Sunday night we had chili made with proghorn antelope...it was really good.  We do not hunt but we have some friends that are avid hunters so if they have extra they give to us.  Our neighbor girl shot a deer so they just dropped it off at the processor and we pay for it to get processed into steak and burger.

Chris there is huge hunting in PA do you get any venison from friends or does DH and the boys go hunting.  Did you know that there are more hunting licenses sold in the state of PA then there are people in MT!!!

YUMMY, puppy!   focus on food first, J--great.  BUT, at the risk of offending any veggies out there, it sounds so good....    I wanna come to dinner.  =P    That said, I hope DD is fine and the baby comes on time and stops giving her so much grief already!!     (((HUGS)))) for you AND her!

Still no bra! It ran away I guess. I've turned my house upside down. No run today. I WILL get on my elliptical! Gotta get back into exercising.

I've got the shakes. I don't drink a lot of coffee but today I have. I visited with my babysitter and her neighbour...I love girl talk. My dumba$$ X hubby left town again(see ya) but cornered my babysitter before he left to find out what his chances might be to get back with me. 3 years! Move on!

I'm a chicken! I wrote in my journal about K asking for my # and giving me his. Do I call? It so much easier when I'm drunk to meet men. This one is different. We didn't meet at a bar. We meet at our kids ballet. Help...What do I say? Ahh!!

Immom - you kill me!!!  It has been quite awhile since I read one of your posts and I think it was when you first met this guy.  I met my DH through some friends....he called next day but he lived over 100 miles away so we just chatted and never set up a date.  Then he came back into town for work and took me to lunch.  I really liked him and I think he really liked me.  I kissed him to get that really uncomfortable part out of the way....I took one for the team!  So, where I am going with this is that I am really a total prude and would never had done that in my life but I did!!!  So, if I can just kiss a guy I just met then you can call a guy you met months ago!!!!!Laughing. You can do it!!!!!  You both have kids....so start talking about them....safe subject.

May I put you on my friends list and you do the same...me on yours?
