Hello all!!

A big shout out to my girls from the "Lose 10 lbs by date, 2008" post.   ( :    Since starting that post, I am down almost 18 lbs.  

People asked about a new post.  Here it is!

I am taking the day off from jogging today, taking the longest bike ride I can manage and doing the Bowflex.   ALso plan to work on our anniversary scrapbook.   : D

Yesterday I rode the bike and lifted weights...Nothing exceptional like you--didn't even wear the polar so I don't even know exactly what I burned..I really should obsess like in the beginning (and I wonder why I am at a plateau)

It really is the **** alcohol.  (SIGH)  I just have issues.  I have a 15 year old son who moved to his Dad's and now I never see him. Just breaks my heart and I cannot seem to recover from it.  Well....I just have to get re-focused on the goal..I had hoped to reach 127 by Sept 13 (6 months on CC) but this 2-3 month stuck between 154 and 160 has blown that.  28 pounds ...hmmph  I guess I am realistically looking at New years...

I love that challenge - it's the first challenge I've done in a long while.... 

Yesterday I wogged 4 miles after a 14 hour day of work, how awesome is that?  What a way to wind down the day. 

Current Weight 170.2 <--- so close to the 160s, woohoo!  I can feel it!

I am also taking the day off of wogging, I've already got 11 and a half miles in this week.

I hear you, zena.  Booze is bad.  I think every effort is worth it.  Do you log the activity here?  it keeps me on track better to have a comparsion to look at -- food vs. workout.    Be strong and stay dedicated, z --  6 MONTHS is a very short amount of time.   And reset that mindset, girl!!  you are doing well, working out, eating, etc ---   REFOCUS -- I bet if you do that, track food/drink in, and log all that activity, it will be only a matter of time before that 127 is yours!!!  (and make it a reward to buy a hot New Year's Eve outfit)

zena, I bookmarked that post back when it was made. Some things in it I implemented right away but what really helped was accepting that the burn rates calculated on cc are just too high for me. I was convinced by other people's posts that I should eat more...closer to 1500/day...and I slowly gained weight! Increasing my walking leveled it off but I had to drop my calories in to 12-1300 to actually start losing again. When I reach my goal weight I can probably maintain at about 1500 IF I keep with the regular walking. It's just a sad fact of getting older, I think. You youngsters should give your metabolism a hug!

Tonight...my roomie wants to go to the fair.  Anyone here just LOVE fair food??? OMG...........seriously ....lol bought so many groceries almost had to sacrifice some for lack of room in the freezer...and yet........I am thinking of eating fair food..............sheesh........I got it bad (wink)

I love fair food also - we have this fair coming up next week, which I love to get the "waffle icecream with strawberries"  it's so big, so delish & also so bad for me. 

A homemade fresh waffle, with vanilla ice cream, strawberries & whipped topping....

I think I'll be avoiding the fair...haha! 

OMG, IS there any such thing as 'good' fair food? Can't think of any but maybe a chocolate covered banana or candy apple? They're fruit, right? lol!

I would just take my own yummy treats and allow myself to feel superior for resisting  (I love chocolate covered nanas though -- that might be worth the splurge)

OMG -- it is way harder to scrapbook than I thought.   My house is, for lack of a better way to put it, hairy.   It's in the hair or something, so the static-y book pages are driving me nuts.  lol 

Zena thanks for the post from the dietician....great info.  My 16yr old son lives with his dad also.  I think the lack of communication is just the age.  But yes I miss my son too.  He went to live with his dad when he was 10 and I am still having a hard time.

I did not workout today but I still might tonight....or not.  I have done some pushups at work....does that count.  No, cardio.  I just got a cortisone shot in my ankle so I can use that as an excuse.  It did not hurt going in but it is a bit sore now....scar tissue hurting after November surgery.

WE didn't go to the fair.   We did not.........do ANYTHING..I slept....so I am awake now.............and today..I am going to visit a friend...a friend in need is a friend indeed
