Why do frozen peaches have more vitamin C than fresh peaches?

Both on Calorie Count and on the package, a serving of frozen peaches has more than 200% of vitamin C while fresh peaches have only 19%. What's up with that? Are frozen better for you or are the numbers wrong? This seems unreal to me.
Answer
The numbers are not wrong. Frozen peaches have more vitamin C than fresh peaches because ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is added to frozen fruits, either in its pure form or mixed with sugars. Ascorbic acid prevents the chemical reaction that makes cut fruit turn brown. Read more about the effect of acids on the browning of fruit at About.com.
