What the fruit equivalent to a muffin looks like
http://pictureperfectweightloss.com/d1.html
I really like this photo, hopefully it makes people think twice about eating that muffin.
Wow, but a 9-oz muffin is HUGE!
Jesus Christ. A fat free sugar free muffin is 720 cals?? I used to eat that fat free sugar free muffin and I didn't feel guilty...
i think the muffin thing is a little inaccurate. i make my own muffins sometimes, and if i made them out to be 9 ounces each, it wouldn't be anywhere near 720 calories. maybe 400 calories, but not 720.
whilst I agree that 720 cals for a muffin seems abit exaggerated, I love the principle of the idea!
I love that I can eat a huge plateful of delicious fresh foods for meals all for relatively few calories - and still feel full. hurrah for high bulk/fiber foods! which is why I think gastric band surgery is crazy, but thats a discussion for a different thread...
I see people in my office eating fast food for lunch - wham the high calorie burger is gone in a few mouthfuls, whilst I can sit and make a big plate of salad and chickpeas last my entire lunch break, its very satisfying I find.
9oz for a muffin is a little exaggerated in itself. I'd never be able to eat more than half of a Dunkin Donuts muffin even BEFORE I started counting calories. Now I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. My homemade muffins have about 150 calories each - the equivelant of a large banana or an apple.
not only do they seem to be over estimating the calories in the "bad" foods, but the calories in several items in the "good" food list were under UNDER estimated.
while i do like the concept there is no reason to change the numbers like that, unless all they really care about is selling their product.

I AGREE! Pineapple is 80 a cup and a whole pineapple is 6-8 cups! (I just cut one up last week and it FILLED my tuperware container) Same with cantaloupe and pears. They WAY under estimated the fruit!!! Nice try!
The guy that does the 'Eat this, not that.' comparisons seems to be a bit more realistic and accurate.
I'd rather have the muffin. All that fruit would give me the runs.
haha
wow, most muffins I eat are like 2 oz. But I definitely think its better and healthier to make your own and it would probably be way less calories.
Kisteel- I love that website. (Eat this, not that)

Ahahaha!!!
Wow..what the hell did they put in that little SUGAR FREE muffin to be that many calories? I have to agree that's totally exaggerated...HAHAHA about the runs comment...Yeah that IS a lot of fruit..I like how they listed how much you could eat for that amount of cals though. It's truly amazing.
otis spunkmeyer (sp?) has huge muffins for 440 a piece. they are amazingggggg when i want to splurge! haha. but still, i get the gist of this. 440 calories would still be a lot of fruit!
Those are some really good pictures, but I am not sure if a cookie has that many calories?!
