WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS? Fruit and Veggies

Ever buy something just because it is in  a recipe and that is the only time you eat it?

This post  is for suggestions on what else you can make with those veggies or fruits that you would limit yourself.

I will post my questions from time to time and I hope you will too.

Here are my two for today. The first one is jicama(it is pronounced hicama). I bought it and it had no flavor to it at all. I sliced it up with apples and baked it with cinnamon. It was about the size of an orange.

The second on is ginger root. I have added it to my tea and my stir fry.

I used to serve at a high-end Mexican restaurant and we used jicama in our crudite appetizer...so just cut-up, raw and served with other raw veggies and guacamole to dip it in.
