"Fruit2Day - 120 Calories Enjoy 2 Servings of Real Fruit with Only 120 Calories. Get Yours Today. Fruit2day.com"

That's an ad on the side.  I'm confused... couldn't I eat two medium nectarines for about 120 cals.... and actually have EATEN THE REAL FRUIT?!!?!

Do people actually fall for this crap.. grr...

I studied advertising and wish this crap didn't give all of us actully trying to market worthwhile things (such as useful products/services/causes) such a bad name.

I'm going to go eat real fruit. *OH NOEEES*

There are people who fall for the whole "Hi, I'm an African Prince and I've selected YOU to take $10,000,000, all I need is your banking info" scam.

That is to say.. yes.

Cause some people are dumb.

But I really AM an African prince.

Really.

Send me your money.

Oh my god.. i've been searching for an African Prince!!!

and of course me being the person I am tried to rationalize this stupid text ad, like, perhaps it was for people who couldn't handle the sugar of fruit, but wanted the antioxidant properties, but then why would the ad specifically highlight CALORIES. Sounds like another way to get people desperate to be something their not waste more money.

*eats more fruit*

Fruit2O is for lazy people.

You're right. For the same amount of calories, you could do so much better.

i was thinking the same thing when i saw a commercial for it last night!! i thought "geez, why don't you just eat fruit?!"

but you don't understand... I HATE all fruit and vegetables! and I can't stand to eat meat! and eggs gross me out! and i'm lactose intolerant and can't eat cheese or milk! I don't like pasta or rice AT ALL!!

I HAVE to subsist on supplements alone!

There was a girl like this in my college hall of residence in my first year. We noticed her "allergies" were optional - eg, "I'd die if I ever touched an onion!" but when we were drinking she'd forget and eat pizza with onion as part of the topping. We started adding bits and bobs to her food without her noticing, and of course she never so much as broke out. By the end of the year it was a running joke in the dorm.
