fruits and vegetables!
I love fruits and vegetables. What are your favorites and how do you like to eat them best?
Mine are:
strawberries, raw and plain
sauteed fresh baby spinach with a little oil, S+P
thinly sliced eggplant, marinated in balsamic vin. and grilled
oranges plain
Reason: Released as sticky
Ahhh, my fruits and veggies!!! I love my grapes and strawberries, mixed together in a little bowl. When I get close to the end, I add a little low-calorie Reddi Whip as a little treat. Sometimes I like to add sliced banana into my little bowl also... and even pineapple chunks. I also like my grapes frozen! I love oranges plain. Watermelon on hot summer days is a tasty treat!
Veggies... our family has this thing of spreading this Kraft Old English cheese into celery, it's delicious! People think it's weird, but I love it... and it's been a favorite in my family forever. (I, however, find the celery and PB combo to be a little strange, and didn't care for it at all when I tried it). I also love my carrots, cucumbers, and broccoli (except lately it has been giving me crazy belly aches. This happened to my dad years ago, and it seems as though he's beginning to outgrow it, so there's hope for me too!). As far as cooked vegetables, I love a good heaping of corn - or in the summer, corn on the cob. I love green beans and cauliflower steamed to perfection. :)
oh i don't care for celery with PB either...i think the celery is too watery for PB.
celery with soft goats cheese spread down the middle.... i cant get enough of it recently!
celery and cottage cheese is very nice too!
I love edamame - I could live on it!

Jezebelina,
just wondering if you could tell me what pomagranates look like? I've been curious about them but don't know anyone who has tried them.
caye86 - pomegranates are amazingly delicious - tart and refreshing, they sort of burst on your tongue (the individual grains, that is). The only thing is that it's a little bit tricky to cut into for the first time and tricky to separate all the grains from the white membranes and the peel - but OH SO WORTH IT!
Here is a link to photos of pomegranate: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=p omegranate&gbv=2&aq=f&oq=
This may seem foolish, but I have only had pomegranate juice so bear with me - do you eat the seeds?????
Jannid - that's not a stupid question, but rather your own preference. Sometimes i eat the seeds, sometimes i just suck the juice from them and spit them out. The seeds are like grape seeds - ahem - in that they are completely "flushable" - i think you know what i mean.
I like apples, strawberries, and bananas. Yum. I'm trying to add in a new veggie or fruit in there but at the moment...
apples - just eat them, (fuji apples!) on the go usually or for dessert.
strawberries - snacks or dessert with occasional whipped cream
bananas- frozen! takes longer to eat and I eat it in place of ice cream and such.
grapefruit - usually cut into pieces. Sometimes rarely with splenda, but usually they are sweet enough for me to just eat it without any sugar and what not.
carrots - I usually just eat one full carrot.. like bugs bunny. lol no baby carrot nonsense. It's all the same carrot except baby carrots are 3 times as expensive just because they cut it for you. I just cut mine at home.
I want to eat some broccoli T_T along with mushrooms right nowww giant salad would be nice.
