I have noticed that if I do not eat fruits & veggies at lunch time, I am famished at dinner. So much so, that I can't hardly control myself. So I try to get my fill of them at lunch time. Is there a reason for this more than you just putting more food in your gut? Has anyone else had this experience? Are there other foods that can give you the same benefit of satiating hunger for longer?
Fruits and veggies have lots of fiber, which causes the full feeling. And yep, without fruits and veggies, I find that everything gets off track, including my energy levels. I might want a meatball sub, but it won't make me feel good!
What I've found works even better for me is to eat lunch in two stages, making each stage smaller, but with more fruits and veggies.
