Hey Guys,
Last year, I never really had a problem with weight loss so long as I really applied myself. However, I recently gained about 5 pounds and absolutely can't seem to get it off again. My weight fluctuates by about two pounds from day to day, and it's driving me nuts! I don't exercise, but I do walk more than two miles a day to get from class to class (I'm in college). I'm sticking to the same diet of about 1100 calories that worked so well before, but nothing is changing.
Weeks have passed with nothing but frustration, and I'm loosing hope! Everyone in my school is eating-disorder skinny, and I'm beginning to feel like a freak for not looking like a super model.
Has anyone had a problem like this before? Do I need to approach weight loss from a different direction?

you arent eating enough- plain and simple- you need to eat at least 1200 calories a day- your body is storing fat because it thinks its starving (BELIEVE ME i know how this feels) I seriously recommend eating more calories asap- and write everything down and make sure its the same number of cals every day.
you need to do something extra as well- try taking a yoga or pilates class- or go for extra walks after class when you have free time- the more you move the easier the weight will come off
I know how you feel about the skinny jerks all over the place- but dont compare yourself them them- if you keep doing that youll end up hating yourself and everyone around you- just remember that you can lose weight- and youll look 10 times better than those overly skinny UNHEALTHY chicks at school- if you need tips or motivation or other secrets feel free to email me and id be happy to help out :)
Good luck!!!

Thanks all for the advice! Things are always so much easier when you get support. Glad I joined the website :)
Just one more question: So, when you guys throw in cardio, what do you aim for? Do you run with a set number of miles/minutes/calories as a goal? I feel silly for asking this, but when you exercise, should you increase your food intake to match whatever you burned? (Meaning, is the idea just to eat 1200 cal, or is it to have a net balance of 1200 cal at the end of the day?)
Why do I get bad cramps after I eat?
Suspect lactose intolerance when abdominal cramps are a problem, especially after breakfast when milk products are consumed. Lactose... Read more
