I am pretty much 5 pounds from my weightloss goal, it took me months to lose the weight and get here. Now I see my body looks better, smaller, lots of people are noticing too.. I used to eat healthy and once in a while I would eat something "not so healthly"; however in the past few weeks I have been eating sooo bad and i am soo scared I will gain all the weight right back..... things I've been eating are, pizza, mac and cheese, cookies (a whole bag), and last night I ate KFC. Normally i would never ever touch these foods, but now I think I have the mentality that well I lost the weight so now its okay to eat whatever i want.. how do I get back? anyone else had this problem?
I suppose the other measure is more of a mental one. Remind yourself that you're not one of those mythical people that can 'eat what they want and not gain an ounce.' If you need a new goal it's worth remembering that most successful dieters will have regained the weight lost within 18 months. So make your new challenge to still be a healthy weight 18 months from now.
Well done so far. Best of luck.
we have all done that. I have had days where I will have egg whites and grape fruit for breakfast and then a tofu salad for lunch and then for dinner 2 pieces of pizza, or maybe someone has brought cake into work and i think "well i worked out today and ate healthy so 3 pieces wont hurt me". It's a bad habit to fall into. I have a problem with sweets, so i found if i buy 100 calorie packs or reduce fat oreos or even fat free frozen yogurt, it's easier to stay on track. But that is awesome you are so close to your goal! You'll make it!![]()
Thanks guys.. that really helps.. i think that I need to stay on track now.. and not splurge too many times.. because it has gotten to that point now where every other day i'm like well its okay to have a peice of cake, or a slice or two of pizza, or whatever it may be, b/c i've lost this weight, i still go to the gym.. but.. Variety is a great idea.. I need to try new things, to make it more appealing to eat. and I hate those mythical people you speak of that eat sooo much and not gain a pound. I have this one friend who can eat a whole big mac meal, and it wont effect her. The other day we went out for dinner, she ate a large bowl of creamy pasta and bread, with ice tea!! I have known her for about 10 years now and she eats alot, she doesnt have an ED either. But she is soo skinny, its ridiculous and she can eat whatever... I have to remember though that I am not like her and that i cant eat just anything i want!!
Those are good tips. Might I also add that I have noticed eating nothing but fruit in the mornings really helps me stay on track. It keeps me full and feeling like I've had lots of sweets.
The trick is to keep it convenient and make sure you are well stocked.
Today I've had so much to eat. When I say eat fruit, I don't mean one banana.
I mean two bananas, two apples, two oranges, 2 cups of strawberries. This keeps me full until lunch.
Also, I am hypogycemic; and I have not had any sugar crashes since starting my diet.
