So Frustrated!!!

---constructive responses please-----

Okay, I've been on this site now since July, and I'm beginning to get extremely frustrated. My goal weight is 108-110. Anything in that small range I'll be happy with. Currently I'm usually between 110-112, weighing in mostly at 112.

I know it's only a few pounds and it seems stupid, but it's driving me crazy. I set this goal for myself months ago, and I feel like I should have obtained it by now!

I work out 4-6 times a week (depending on the week), and I eat fairly healthy. I haven't been able to work out this week though, because both of my ankles are sprained. I don't count my calories hardcore. When I first joined the site I did, but I more or less estimate now.

Has anyone been in a similar position and had success? I'm at a loss.

My situation was similiar so someone suggested I change my workout routine so my body wouldn't get used to the same exersise everyday

Also take a look at the way your eating maybe? Weight training my also be helpful-it doesnt need to be intense bodybuilding of course lol! But building a little more muscle can increase the number of calories your body will burn even when youre not moving around. No matter what dont get discouraged!

Yea, I do try and switch up my work out routine, and I've started added weights to the mix.

I don't know...

Thanks for the replies though.

Working out builds muscle, muscle weighs more than fat.

So losing fat while gaining muscle tone would explain why if you're eating well and working out often, that the number doesn't go down.

Don't pay the scale so much attention. When you're dealing with the numbers that you are, "looking" in like the mirror, or finding out if your clothes fit different may be a better judge.

True, maybe I should lay of the strength training until I reach my goal?  I know it's stupid, but I really want to see that number.

On a kind of separate note, I think I need a personal trainer. I'm really bad at working out,  I'm clueless. I wonder how much something like that goes for...

I would suggest that for a week or two you really pay attention to your calories to make sure you are not underestimating what you are taking in and actually eating more than you thought you were. Then you can adjust your workouts and calories from there.
