I've been hovering over 147-149 for the past week or so, I gain gain gain then loose then gain then loose its so stupid!
I've been eating about 1100-1150 calories a day, I do two work outs on my treadmill which is on an incline at 4.0 mph untill I burn 100 calories, then ill do about 100 crunches and go on the gazelle maybe twice as well. I dont understand why im fluctuating in my weight so much right now, I want to get down to 135 by christmas and at this rate it'll never happen! :[ I don't know what im doing wrong and or what I need to be doing to correct this issue.
I agree. I know that it sounds strange. But, you do need to eat more. This doesn't give you free range to eat whatever you want. When you eat too little calories and work out alot, your body goes into starvation mode and starts to store it's fat. Try eating 6 small meals a day. Keep it healthy, treats once in a while (we gotta live don't we?) and I am sure that you will lose the weight. Stress doesn't help. I should know, I do the same thing. The more I worry about my weight, the harder it is for me to take it off. Sometimes we plateau. Look at your diet. Make sure your calories are coming from healthy foods. You need a wide variety. Carbs for energy if you are working out twice a day. Maybe up the cardio a bit and mix it up so you don't get bored. Anyway, that is my 2 cents. Good luck!

I agree with the others. You are likely eating too little and are plateauing. How tall are you? How much do you weigh? Unless you are a tiny tiny person 1150 calories is simply too little, and in fact you should always be eating no less than 1200 calories.
Please read our resident expert Nutritionist Mary Hartley's pages on metabolism, you will learn so much:
The other possibility is that you are actually losing weight but your scales cannot detect it. Are you plugging your data into the weight log and looking at your trend line? What does it say?
I found this hard to believe at first, but working out without enough cals is a sure way to plateaus, or even weight gains.
Give it a try for 2 months. It will work.
Thanks everyone. I used to eat around 500 calories burn them all off, I lost around 27 pounds this way and it hasnt came back, then I started to stop loosing weight so I bumped up my calories to 1100 and lost another 8-10 pounds this way, im just afraid to eat more. But it is slowing down again so Ill have to eat raise my calories again.
What type of food should not be eaten?
