I know my expectations are not realistic but I am so frustrated with my body. I hate getting up in the morning and trying to find something that will fit and look good. I gained 27 pounds during pregnacy and am back to my pre pregnacy weight but I just don't look the same. My belly has a lot of stretch to it and I don't know how to make it go away. Any help?
Hi Lynda...
Let me tell you ... it takes time to feel normal again... I have a 16 month old and I am just starting to feel back to normal ... it takes alot out of you... I gained 50lbs with her... My belly is getting tighter slowly... I would try cardio and cutting carbs... really helps... as your little one becomes more active you will lose weight chasing them around... TRUST me it happens... I have lost 15lbs in 3 months... by running after my little one...
anyways hope that kida helps ... I know its hard... it just takes a little time...
Hey it took 9 months to get there, and it might take 9 more to get back. I also have a 16 month old and at about 12 months, my stretch marks FINALLY started to lighten. Now my stomach looks better (though not the best, because I had a LOT of stretch marks and some pretty severe ones I don't think will ever leave) It is getting tighter. And that's without doing a whole lot of exercise.
Try the cardio and weight-lifting or exercises that target your ab muscles and that will help tighten things up.
Congrats on losing the weight!
I know this is probably the last thing you want to hear but try really hard to be thankful that you are back to your pre pregnancy weight! Don't be so hard on yourself!! Getting back to your pre preg weight at 3 months PP is awesome and half the battle!! If you keep working at it & keep exercising, your body will tone up. With my first I gained 70 lbs. It took about a year before I felt super comfortable in a bikini again. Now.....my second son just turned 3 months yesterday. I gained 50 lbs with him & I still have at least 20 lbs to take off. It is MUCH slower going this time & I'm biking & walking my butt off trying to lose it! So be thankful that you are losing it & take it easy on yourself. It will happen.
